Johannes S. Geeks can have fun, but a different kind of fun.

Today I created a Multi Touch input device for my Mac. Not because I needed one, not because I had nothing better to do... But because I could. Because it is fun. I started out by putting my MacBook on the floor, with the display facing upwards. I then took a box and cut a hole in the bottom to make room for my laptop. I put the box over my MacBook. After that I took a sheet of glass and put a sheet of paper on it. I placed it on top of the box. I connected my MacBook to an external monitor a… Continue

Mike Copeland Time Has a habit of Passing too Quickly

Wow I can't believe this year is almost out, just one more full month. Already I'm making plans for what I'm going to be doing for Christmas, of course my birthday is approaching at this very moment. What I find amazing about this year is that I managed to make 7 out of 9 resolutions come true. A first for me, usually I'm never able to keep them, but this year was different. Of course this year has been no ordinary year, but it will be nice to see a new year come upon us soon. I started the year… Continue

Mike Copeland Pocket God

Pocket God is actually an ok game to play when you’re bored. Basically you’re a God like being to Pygmies. You can strike them with lighting, throw them in the Volcano, or feed them to a shark. There are many ways to handle these little guys, and you know what they are some little troopers. No matter how bad it is they always come back for more. The application is updated on a regular basis, each update brings something new, and a hint is in the Episode title. The most recent… Continue

Sm3 Stress.

Small problems, amplified. I have a mild form of insomnia. My Insomnia seems to be triggered by mental stress over a period of time. In addition to that, I get "Tension Headaches" which basically means any stress on my body can cause me to have a headache. So... whenever I have stress, I get tension headaches, which after time, can cause me to become insomniatic. Mental Stress and Bodily stress is a little different. Mental stress takes a while for me to get tension headaches, and even longer… Continue

Mike Copeland Tea Time

This I know has nothing to do with tech, but I figured I take the time to speak about my favorite drink. I love tea, I love it hot or cold. Sweetened and unsweetened. For many people tea is preferred when in a restaurant, or just to drink around the home. I drink it because it’s healthier than a sod… Continue

Sm3 Sex.

Sex. Why is it 'Inappropriate'? Anyone who see's anything as "inappropriate" is immature. Maturity is for the immature, if you were rally mature, you wouldn't have to worry about it. Business people go around their daily lives with all their pointless formal rules, all their expensive clothes, all their unnecessary thoughts and belongings to run a machine that this world would be simpler without. Schools don't allow girls to wear clothing thats too revealing. Sex is something inappropriate… Continue

By Brendan Sinclair, GameSpot Posted Sep 14, 2009 4:09 pm PT CEO reveals plans for “untethered Guitar Hero,” facebook integration, emotionally resonant animation, and taking “all the fun out of making video games.” During a 45-minute presentation today at the Deutsche Bank Securities Technology Conference in San Francisco, Activision Blizzard CEO Robert Kotick covered a substantial amount of ground. Matthew When The Day lacks color

It seems often that humans get caught up in the speed of life. I find it amusing that we lose focus about the little things in life. I recently had a eye opening experience and i must say its great. I really recommend people going on a two day hike or a picnic in the forest. It seems so often that people are raving on and on about the stupidity of humans but... i say just give it a try who knows you may enjoy it as i have. Continue

Alec A great original game for us casual gamers

Not everyone likes to shoot up people in some gory deathmatch game. And besides, games in that genre tend to get old fast. How many variations on shooting someone can there be?

Rex Torres Titan meets Hunter and Gary

This story is dedicated to Hunter and Gary. Titan is the superhero from my book, "Myst, Titan and the Outcasts". You can read more about that on my profile. Two boys were walking down the street, heading towards the video game store, which was only a few blocks away from their apartment complex. It was early August, school was out, and the boys had nothing else to do than play video games, go to the shopping mall, or watch TV. As they were crossing the street, they heard a police siren. Both… Continue

Shtanto Online Story Maker

I found this site and thanks to the magic of the Internet, I came up with this story. Sort of online madlibs :) It's about a boy and his Prawn. Good fun Once upon a time there was a young boy named John. John was 24 years old and lived in Honalulu, Hawaii. While walking home from school one day, a Toap Prawn jumped out from behind a Copyright Law and tackled John to the ground. But just… Continue
