Eric Fox Paranoia Can Be Fun

Ever heard the phrase, “I don’t suffer from paranoia, I enjoy every minute of it!” and wondered exactly what that means? Then you probably won’t understand this blog. But for the rest of you, please read on. Anyone else notice the little crumbs that fall off of the bottom of a pizza? It’s not part of the crust, it just sticks to the bottom of the pizza. It always falls off in the box, or on your plate, or sticks to your lips, but a significant amount does make it into your mouth. So, why do we… Continue

Sm3 Memorization.

I hate Memorization. I know my last few blog posts have all had vast similarities, but Yea. I don't like memorization. Its the one thing I cannot do. If you tell me to remember something, I simply cannot do it. Since I was like 13, my Memorization brain cells died off. I cannot remember any specific facts or pieces. I can remember how to get to those pieces. If you ask me what x is in the expression: 2+2=x, I do not know for a fact or out of memorization that x=4, I have to actually think of t… Continue

Tedd Mom and Pop Vs. Chain Restaurants

As most of you, I frequent several chain eateries like McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and others. I go there for the convenience and speed that it offers. I usually get my food quickly and most times it is at least warm if not hot. However, I do enjoy a sit down meal from time to time and since I have moved back to my childhood home in Chattanooga, TN I found a very small Italian restaurant a couple of miles down the road. The building is almost hidden by other signs for the fast food chains I men… Continue

Recent polls across the world have consistently shown that, if they had a choice, 90% of people would actively seek to avoid GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in their food. Eric Fox Tuna again?

One thing that most people can't stand is when other people are indecisive. These people will hem and haw while everyone else is grabbing and going. In the end, they are stuck with whatever is left for them to grab, which turns out to be nothing that they want, so they are forced to make a harder choice, which they also never get around to making. Let me give you an example and, in turn, show you the perfect way to solve this problem. A couple are walking through a grocery store. The wife is lo… Continue

3Milya I think my parrot has an identity crisis.

Verdi has started to show too much interest on our dogs food. It tries to go to the bowl and if it gets there it steals some of the food and flies away. It doesn't matter if his cup is full of seeds, he still wants to get some dog food *shakes her head*. Or then he just likes the excitement of stealing stuff. He might need a mate but it's hard to get female ones :-/. Continue

Stephen HR 2749: Totalitarian Control of the Food Supply

Food Freedom June 17, 2009 A new food safety bill is on the fast track in Congress-HR 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009. The bill needs to be stopped. HR 2749 gives FDA tremendous power while significantly diminishing existing judicial restraints on actions taken by the agency. The bill would impose a one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme on small farms and local artisanal producers; and it would disproportionately impact their operations for the worse. HR 2749 does not address unde… Continue

Patrick Porche Can healthy food REALLY be tasty?

I want to preface this by saying that I am not a registered dietician. In order to get an eating plan that is tailored to your bodies response to food you would have to see one. I am merely here to get you started in the right direction. Well first of all I think we all need to agree that perception is reality. Meaning, you need to be receptive to new ideas and techniques if you really have a desire to create a positive change in your life. That being said, I agree, a deep, southern fried piece… Continue

shellyelliot WARNING: Food Freedom Under Attack! HR 759 is in Committee & worse than HR 875 (also, happy Odd Day!)

“Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people” - Henry Kissinger Our food freedom is under attack! HR 759 has eclipsed HR 875 as a danger to America's small farmers. Currently in committee (and more likely to pass), NOW is the time to act to stop this threat to our freedom to buy, grow and eat real foods. A vote is expected by Memorial day.
