Ash reistry fix -problems

one of the biggest factors for to swap to a mac (apart from costs) is the on going crusade against my laptop/pc slowing down over time. I never understood why this used to happen and was always reluctant to try new programs or new software for fear of slowing things down even if i have completely removed something there is always a nagging suspicion that something has been left behind. Anyway I have tried reg fix programs in the past with varied results, even losing personal data on once occasio… Continue

Gavin Roskamp How to fix Finder in Snow Leopard after using Cloak

Ok everyone. So I follow Chris on Twitter along with a lot of other people. He recommended an app to OS X users called Cloak. Cloak is supposed to make your application's titlebars, your menubar, etc. turn different colors - similar to Vista's Aero colors options. Unfortunately, I, like some others, didn't read that it is 10.5.6 only. So I went along and installed it on my Snow Leopard installation and tried changing it. Nothing happened. So I changed it back to default and trashed the app. Thro… Continue

Michael Window Vista BSOD 0x0000C1F5 error

Hello everyone. For the past month I haven't been able to fix a BSOD screen on Window Vista Home Premium 32bit on my HP Pavillion M8120n Desktop PC. I got the BSOD once I installed the "Windows update" on December 20, 2008 or around that time period. When I came back to check on my computer to see if it already installed the update already i saw a BSOD with the error: ***STOP 0x0000C1F5 (0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000,0x00000000) I was like OMG! Michael Moran The importance of keeping your machine clean and cool, the easiest ways to spot problems and to prevent issues

First off always switch power supplies off, for those with on/off switches, this is equivalent to unplugging it, so uplug the power cable for one's without. Secondly, important data as well as all your data is at risk every second until backed up, what this means is having two copies as entails updating as your files… Continue

Michael Moran Almost 9,000 members, is this just the scratching of the surface? How far may it go?

I Think so... I can guarantee youtube didnt have 9k members their first month or any of the major sites for that matter. Does the Pirillo empire have what it takes to be another empire like google? Not only do I believe it but see it forming in front of my face, as I proud to say I was within the first 500 registered memebers. Continue

Trevor Hall Ever have a Computer Problem that you cant find a solution for?

Throughout my life and experiences with computers, I have always ran into problems that have no documented solution on the internet. For example, My Dell D610 Lattitude Notebook had a strange problem where when the speakers are at full volume it would BSOD. And I could not find a solution anywhere on the internet. So what was I supposed to do? If your answer is "Sell that Piece of Junk" you are wrong. I dug deep into the problem and finally figured out that Turning The "Hardware Acceleration" of… Continue
