If your thinking of increasing your gamming on your Nintendo DS you might want to try a flash card. There are many kinds out there but one that works fine for me is the R4, which is sold all over the web. Be warned, some internet shops sell faulty flash cards so if it seems to good to be true it probably is. They tend to sell from 12 to 20 dollars. I am refferin to the standard R4 that supports up to 2 gig of memory. If your interested in more space you may want to consider spending a little mor…

I have a Windows XP Home Desktop and a Windows Pro laptop. Usually, I am using a separate keyboard and mouse for the desktop and another mouse and keyboard for my laptop. This can get pretty tedious. Switching from one to the other. Someone recommended me using Synergy to share just the one set. But geez, how much of a pain setting that up was.
What I did, was provided the computer names for each computer. I then noticed the names were slightly incorrect and still no luck after correcting them.…

#8 - Where Do You Think Is The Best Start Menu Position On The Desktop ?
Ok so i recently have installled XP and created a dual boot function to work with Vista anyway i can now run the two OS and get the choice to boot into either on startup. However in Vista i have been using the start menu at the defaulted bottom but in XP i decided to go bit wacky and use it at the Top i have found personally that its better at the top , takes some getting use to but once you do its perfect , well it is for…

Hello Geeks!
I thought I'd blog this as resources on this topic are scattered over the internet, and I know a lot of people here run Ubuntu, so I thought this would help.
This technique has only been tested on machines dual-booting Ubuntu (9.04 and 8.10) and Windows XP (Home and Pro). I do not know whether it works with Vista, or other Linux distros. Also backup before changing your hard disk (I didn't, but I'm naughty). This method is for people who don't know their admin password or don't…

There are loads of tutorials out there on how to Dual-boot pretty much any combination of Operating Systems, and I felt it was about time I contributed my part on how to dual boot two of my favourite ones: Ubuntu Linux and OSx86.
There are several methods to achieving this, however after trying and failing for about a week, myself and a friend finally managed to get it working – turns out it was as easy as pie and we were trying to do all the wrong things. This is how we finally did it, after n…

If you are like me, and have a dual monitors set up. Then i have found a great piece of software that lets you have two different wallpapers on both of your monitors. normally you will have one wallpaper across both of your screens. But with Display Fusion you can have two separate wallpapers across both. Its very simple to use. just click on either monitor 1 or monitor 2. Then assign a wallpaper to each monitor and then you have finished. There is a pro version if you want to get it. But there…

Why would you ever want to run multiple operating systems on one computer? A computer / network technician may need access to many OSes, possibly all at once. But what would a regular user want with more then one OS? There are many reasons why someone may want to do this, the most common of which is that the user prefers Linux or Unix (Mac OS X) for the speed, security, and stability but occasionally need to run Windows specific programs. Now, you can run some apps under virtualization without W…

Which operating system is the best? Windows, Mac, or Linux? The endless battle still rages on today and the answer will never be agreed upon. "All operating systems suck" - Chris Pirillo. I'd have to agree with that statement. Every OS has its major and minor flaws and no OS will ever be perfect. Each OS has its strengths and weaknesses. For example, Windows is the best OS for gaming, Linux is the best for servers, and Mac is the best for media editing. BUT I WANT THE BEST OF EVERYTHING!!! Well,…

Hey Geeks!
Today I stopped by Best Buy to find myself a new monitor. I had a little bit of Christmas money left over and I'm constantly running out of space on my desktop. After hooking up the new LG Flatron W1942T and setting up the dual monitor configuration in Windows Vista, I was quite satisfied. I don't know how I would live without a dual monitor setup after using it for only a few minutes. It's not like it's new technology or anything, and nothing to really brag about. I'm simply express…

Do you have working monitors around your house do you have a AVI to DVI cable? Well if so you probably use Dual display mode. Dual display mode is having one computer and letting you move applications onto a different monitor. It's like in those movies where the mouse goes from on screen to another. That is exactly what Dual Display Mode is. My padre (father for those of you who don't know simple Spanish) has 3 monitors set up in his office. He uses it to monitor the offices servers and surf the…

ok so this is the second time this has happened and the first time we though it was just a DVI pin problem, now I'm freaking out cause it's happened again and I've checked the pins and the appear to be ok. DVI cords a quickly becoming very tiresome to deal with, so here's my problem. The screen appears to have a Blue Tint to it, it's been fine before but now all I see is this thick blue overlay. Like I said the first time this happened, the flat pin on DVI hookups had been pushed into the cord.…

I like to change it up every once in a while and put a new wallpaper on my computer. Usually I take something that is pertinant to the seasons or something going on in my life. Right now in my neck of the woods we have had our first real snow fall and the big bad winter is coming. So I decided to go with this one:

A couple of weeks ago I went and picked up a new laptop. Because I thought it was time to change from my old PC which was on XP to a Nice brand new Vista machine.
Now while XP did serve me well I think that Vista works perfectly, and I also like the look of Vista. I mainly use it for work and some light gaming so I wasn't really looking for A gaming machine.
Anyway I have to say I love this new laptop. It is now my primary computer. as you will probably already have guessed yes I did a video o…
