Diabolic Preacher Reaction to Mininova's change of policy

I am really glad for what mininova's done. Its been one of my favorite and best performing trackers after paid ones or invite-only ones like demonoid. Right now, what its done has put off the majority of assholes who bid goodbye on the comment thread without as much as understanding that when a powerful

Clark Nichols The Ethics of Pirating

Recent developments in the modern world have changed the way people are getting their content, mostly for free. This pirating has been going on too long, and it has catastrophic effects, but that is not what is going to be talked about, the question is: What makes pirating ethical? The three basics of why people pirate -People want expensive media for free -People cannot get the product -People want reputation Reason Number 1: What makes reason number one ethical? If that media is, unavailable… Continue

macman1293 Well, a decision has been made.

I will come back to youtube! I hope that some of you are happy about this and I hope that you are glad. I would like to mention though what I am going to do with it. I am going to only be posting video blogs there and I want to clarify that. I will be able to do that instant upload thing because I think think is great for video blogs. I will keep my real content here. I have not been able to make that account and i don't have the time to film a vid to let you know. But this is proof that I will… Continue

Mark D. We should be glad that we live in a country that doesn't require content filtering programs.

I read a head line today that the Chinese government is requiring computer makers to add a filtering software to block "unhealthy words and images". By making the computer makers place the program "Green Dam-Youth Escort" has brought up concerns in the computer industry that there will be vulnerability on security and malfunctions. I read this article and I thought to myself "what if I had to have government required internet filtering programs on my computer?”. The thought of being controlled… Continue

shellyelliot Why Use Drupal?

I just got back from DrupalCon 2009, which is a tech conference for people who use Drupal (an Open Source Content Management System). My site, BreakTheMatrix, is built using Drupal, so I wanted to see what cool things people are doing in the realm of Open Source development. I wasn't disappointed! Thanks for watching, and as always, please pass along, rate, stumble, favorite, etc. if you like it! Resources: http://drupal.org… Continue

Ron Knights I'm making some massive changes to my web site.

I decided to redo my site. I wanted to use either Mambo or Joomla, content manager web applications. I tried to install them manually. I'd done this many times on my home computers, using them as servers. I encountered some of the weirdest problems and errors I'd ever seen. I spent the better part of the evening, and got just about nowhere. Finally I tried using my web site's Control Panel to install Joomla. Again, I got some strange error message that I couldn't overcome. Then I used my we… Continue

Garry Conn How Often Do You Use Your Mobile Phone For Blogging?

Not sure how many WordPress blogging geeks we have here, but I am a full time blogger and online publisher. I use WordPress for just about every site I own. I use WordPress both as a blogging platform as well as a CMS. With that said, I have a Blackberry and this little phone sure is capable. Using my mobile phone coupled with the Mobile WordPress Dashboard plugin, I can literally operate and maintain my blog using my mobile phone. I can write posts, moderate and reply to comments, and more. As… Continue

Agent Popescu Wookieepedia, the best free content Star Wars encyclopedia available on the net yet

I have been a Star Wars fan for quite a while and for some time I'd found this great wiki on the Internet. The wiki is actually verry good, it looks like it has a lot more content related to Star Wars than Wikipedia itself. This is a great thing for Star Wars fans, and among the many information given on the Star Wars universe it's cited by sources, so you don't need to think if this wiki is just getting edited and left like that for a long time. First impression that was made when I made my acc… Continue

Thomas O'Donnell Looking for content contributers

To all who read this: Are you looking to get your name on the web? Can you provide good content? I host a small site called "IronPhreak’s Home" This site is used for hosting my friend’s sites and having my own space to put what I think people would like. But as I’m just one person I can’t provide all the content by myself. So, I’m looking for people who are either new or well-known for providing web content. If you wish to help out, you will get to design your site however you want; if you d… Continue

Zane Savage My Content...

Hey all you Zaniacs... I have got a ton of email lately complaining that I'm getting away from the technology side of things and going more towards the entertainment side. Let me first tell you that I will never stop talking about technology, unboxings, and all around nerdy material. I am just trying to capture a BROAD audience and that requires mixing things up. Just know that YOU guys are what built my site and YOU will always dictate what my content is. That said, if you have any recommendati… Continue

Robin Content And Happy...

Tonight, as I write this I find myself happy and content. I have not got a job at the moment, I am overdrawn at the bank and though have an interview tomorrow (which naturally should make me nervous) I am not. I am really rather happy. I have been reading a book which has brought insight and humour, and made me reflect on how in life we (as people) tend to do the same things, go through the same highs and lows and yet in doing so at the time often feel as if it is just us, or a couple who do suc… Continue

Anthony CushyCMS Review

Being a Web Designer these days isn’t what it’s all thought up to be. You have clients that have certain deadlines and when the deadline is met you’re racing to see if everything is fit to perfection. Most designers themselves base websites for business’ strictly on CMS’(Content Management Systems) that are all based on databases (i.e. MySQL). Now let’s say you have a client that is interested in keeping their website up to date on their own and wants it to be in a compact, fashionable manner. A… Continue

Anthony TypeRoom Lite Review

Hands down I would have to say if you have absolutely no idea what you’re doing when it comes to building websites and managing content that TypeRoom Lite is exactly what you’re looking for. Not only do you just simply type in your website address and it pulls up your exact layout but they have implemented a WYSIWYG(What You See Is What You Get) system that allowes you to change practically everything that is displayed on your website. With the availability of setting your FTP information on you… Continue
