I think that this year consoles have good features, but none of them have what it takes to be really the champion because of some drawback. For example the Xbox 360 and its RRod (red ring of death), and the PS3 and its lack of some major titles like Halo 3 and its lack of "unlockability", and the Wii with its lack of good games and bad graphics. I've been a fan of console gaming since the Nintendo Entertainment System, but lately I've been playing games on my computer more.
I own a PS3. I've spent a lot of time on one of my friend's Xbox 360, but the only game that I found myself totally addicted to on that platform was Uno on Xbox Live. Is the PC gaming dying? Most probably, I now have numerous friends who have traded in their power hungry gaming machines for a more affordable console. This sickens me, so what if they are too fussy, so what if they require constant upgrades to get the best frame rates, so what if a new controller costs $80AUD and a decent gaming keyboard/mouse will set you back $200AUD or more for both.

My ex and I are in an argument over what he should give the boys for Christmas. He believes that he should give them a Wii, and I say they need their own computer (so they can stop wrecking mine!). Here is my opinion on the the top 5 console/pc games of 2008 this will be judged on games that have been out for a while not games that have only just came out this recently etc.

* Superb character-driven story

I have just figured out how to install my World Of Warcraft (Thats the Normal game, Burning Crusade and Wrath Of The Lich King) on my Ubuntu computer.

They have put the release date in November 13th here in Sweden and in the US in November 11th.
