I always thought keyboard shortcuts (KBS) were commonly used by users, but after meeting the so called average users… well…. i found out that it is not true!
Do you commonly use KBS? I sure do! and honestly, I'm always looking for new ones. So here I made a small list of the 15 KBS that I feel any mac user should be aware of!
But before we start, know that on this list I won't include the common ones (cut, paste, copy, undo, etc…).
So let's start!!

Hey All,
Let's face it, eletronics are not made they way they used to be made. Be it audio gear, computers, peripherals, you name it. The build quality and durability of those old components and gear is second to none. Here is a good example. I just got a few weeks ago a Pioneer SX 780 Stereo reciever from 1979. I cannot get over how well this thing is made compared to things today. The faceplate, tuner and all the knobs are REAL machined brushed aluminium. The toggle switches (which I have rar… Continue

There is currently a delay in shipping for the Apple iMac. But that might have more to do with the volume of orders coming in to Apple than any problems with the graphics cards.
For October and November, the sales for Mac desktops were up 74 percent from this time last year. There are no numbers saying how many were sold each year, but Apple sold a lot of desktops last year, so you can only imagine the thousands upon thousands of iMacs sold this year.
And that may be what’s causing the shipping… Continue

After writing over at my main blog at blog.bluepop13.com I couldn't think of a better place to mention what I had to say.
So many people online and off are always having some kind of issue with their computers. I find this stupid. If you are looking for great computer help then that's wonderful and there's money in that because there are so many stupid problems with these machines that we all consider to be so "smart" and fun and entertain… Continue

The killer feature of every Mac which can’t be underestimated (and you don’t realise how important it is until you own a Mac) is OS X’s 100% reliable, near-instant suspend and resume.
Windows PCs have just never had this. Reliability on Windows is hit and miss, and it’s nowhere near instant. As a result most people are in the habit of shutting down their PC totally — or worse, leaving them on 24/7, chewing up power.
The difference between Mac and Windows in this respect is the di… Continue

What is happening on Oct. 22, 2009?
Well if the title doesn’t answer it then I don’t know what to tell you, it’s the release of Windows 7. The successor to Windows Vista, what 7 promises to bring to the table is faster loading time, new codec support, new taskbar, and reliability. It’s everything Windows Vista wasn’t and in many was is what Vista should have been. Now Vista was not an Epic Fail, like Windows ME, but more of a smudge between Windows XP and Windows 7.

I’m particularly irate about this. There’s criminal hackers, then there’s complete lowlife scumbag criminal hackers that hack children. InternetNews reports hackers took over sections of the PBS.org Web site earlier this week, installing malicious Ja

Since the US first applied for the extradition of Gary there have… Continue

Novice and new computer users are disheartened by technology due to the flaws and problems plaguing Microsoft Windows. This leads them to thinking computers are terribly complicated and don't bother using them.
There are major differences between using a PC and a Mac. One vital factor is price. Macs are very expensive so people don't tend to think it is 'worth' it, so they buy a cheap PC instead. Great, what a bargain!
For £300 they got say for example, a 15" 2Ghz Intel Core Duo with an Intel… Continue
