Jacob Iphone V.S. the Androids Channeling the Mac V.S. PC War

All i have been hearing lately is how the iphone has severe problems and apple is not addressing them. Usually following this "rant", i hear something about an Android Operating System based Phone. How people love the phone, how its so easy to use, how there are so many applications for it. While those claims may or may not be true they seem a lot like the Mac v.s. PC wars claims. The mass use of the Android operating system on several different devices make it just like the "windows" of… Continue

Jacob AT&T Trips over themselves.

I saw the ad for the Garmin Nuvi phone last week. I was impressed. It seem like a pretty cool device. But the first thought in my head was that their 3G was stretched to the max with all the Iphones. Now if this is true, then how can the nuvi phone, which obviously needs 3G, be able to work. They claimed that adding the MMS to Iphone was bad enough for the network, so how will this possibly help the problem. I Can't help but think that AT&T clomped* In my family, clomped means screwing y… Continue

Craighton Miller LG Voyager

This slim sexy phone is one of the big competitors to the iPhone! After a couple months with this LG Voyager it is one of the sexiest phones that I have ever owned. This touch screen is very responsive and has a lock feature that prevents you from hitting the wrong buttons while the phone is in your pocket. This phone also has a nice flip out keyboard, this keyboard is not too small for your fingers. So this phone has a nice balance o… Continue

Anonymous The Palm Pre

I went to the store the other day, and I played with the demo model of the Palm Pre. I liked it, I liked the interface, contacts, touchscreen, web browsing, and a lot more. The internet was perfect, and I might go as far to say is one of the best devices on Sprint for internet. However, I would like to create some programs for it. I have a limited coding background (a bit of C++ and HTML). I'm mostly into using software handle the nuts and bolts while I create content. I was wondering if anyone… Continue

techjase Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Steel 2 delayed till 2010

We heard rumblings of this last week, but we didn't want to believe it was true -- Ubisoft has pushed the releases of Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Steel 2 into 2010. In its First-Quarter 2009-10 Sales report, the publisher confirmed the delays, along with confirmation that the fourth fiscal quarter will see the release of a new Ghost Recon, as well as the mysterious I Am Alive. In fact, the second quarter of fiscal 2009-10 sees very few Ubisoft releases. The publisher only plans to release… Continue

Nick Devens Are cell phones really okay? For anyone?

I was fishing today, and as I was sitting in the boat, my cell phone rang. I answered it and took the call, but after I hung up, I got to thinking: Are cell phones really a good idea for anyone? Well there's a few ways you can look at it. In the sense of safety, cell phones are amazing, because if you are in a car accident, or you see one, or you see any other emergency, you can call 911 and being able to call so fast could, and probably will save a life because of the quick response time, and t… Continue

stemo153 What can you live without?

I was asking a lot of people today on Omegle.com can you live without a cell phone, Although a lot of people just ended the conversation all the others seem to say no and when i asked why not, they replied "i just can not i need my cell phone." Now i realize they probably thought i was going to try and steel it or something. Now what shocked me the most was when i asked my second question. What would you rather have your cell phone or a computer of any kind. More of the strangers replied "cell… Continue

Colton Barrier Metro PCS

Metro PCS or as some people like to call it metro piece of *****. I think Metro is a great service I have it and I use my phone 24/7. I think Metro has most improved in the Metro Web which is the most improving part of the metro service and is building every minute of the way. With Metro Web you can google, email, youtube(on supported phones) and even go on map quest. But thats not all it offers you can also go on facebook and myspace. Twitter has not paired with metro yet but they are working o… Continue

Tedd New T-Mobile My Touch

So, I got my hands on a My Touch. It is basically the G2 but is not being marketed as such. It has the same Android OS and same interface but is different in several ways. First and the most noticeable is weight. Because it does not have a physical keyboard (Opting for the on screen keyboard only) it is probably more than 50% lighter than the G1. It is also much sleeker than the G1 and will fit in ones pocket much better. The interface has changed in that it is much more personalized. You can ad… Continue

Jon Canada Sucks!

Canada is a great place, but the celluar service you get sucks. What I mean is, you can either get cheap service with crappy custumer support or you can get expensive service with good custumer support or even expensive service with semi-good custumer support; those define Telus, Bell, and Rogers In that order. there are other service providers but pretty much all of them are owned by the above businesses. For example, Solo is owned by bell, koodo by telus, and fido by rogers. I am still uncerta… Continue

Travicemo How to email text messages to any mobile phone

Well this is pretty amazing especially for those of you who don't have unlimited data and text plans with your service. This lets you send any mobile numbers text messages and the recipient will get them on their mobile just like any other text message and they can also reply back to you. I personally tested this out and it worked like a charm, so if you do enjoy using it your welcome. Step 1: Start up your email app or web browser and go to your email service and compose a new message… Continue

Tedd Text Messaging Problems

Text messaging or SMS is a common way for people to communicate. At first it seemed to be limited to the younger age group, now the older generation is fast falling in love with it. This post will focus on issues you might have with text messaging and ways to correct it without calling customer service. A common issue I see is when a person can receive text messages but cannot send them. In order to send text, your phone has to have the correct "service center number" programed into it. This is… Continue

Tedd Power Cycle Your Phone!

As a technical support and customer service agent for the wireless industry, I get up to 60 calls in an 8 hour period from customers that are having problems with their phones. No signal, interference, echoing and other issues are common. My intentions for this post is to help you solve these issues without having to call customer service. By far, the number one troubleshooting tip I can give to anyone that is having a problem of any kind with their cell phone is "power cycle" which simply mean… Continue
