Haydn Aren't we tired of Mac vs PC yet?

From what I can tell, this is everyone's favourite subject. It must be; it's on every single page I look at! So here's what we can draw from the forums so far: "Better PC": 778 "Better MAC": 930 "Better Windows": 1241 "Better osx"+ "Better os x"+ "Better mac os": 686 So there: we love the Mac hardware but the software sucks. Ooerr...that can't be right...err...we love Windows when it runs on the Mac? So maybe I've just wasted 10 minutes of my time drawing no conclusion at all. So can't we jus… Continue

Dafz Thomas Crysis 2 to be multi-platform.

Crytek, the creators of Crysis built upon the amazing Cryengine, is going multi-platform in the next release of Crysis, which is "Crysis 2." Crysis 2 will run on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, but many people are speculating on the console side of things. There are many talks among the community that this will not work. "The current consoles today are not capable of running such a game." That may be, but what about the next-generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft? (or even Nintendo (mabie n… Continue

#8 - Where Do You Think Is The Best Start Menu Position On The Desktop ? Zach Kowalchuk Home schooling better?

For most of my schooling until 2008-2009 school year, I was enrolled in public schooling. I recently went into online courses via a distance learning school. I have learned just as well if not better doing it at home. If I need help, its a phone call or email away. And being homeschooled online, its give me advantages. I can take a day or two off if I need it. I can work whenever because I get to create my own schedule. And best of all, I have gotten two computers to help me do this course, a d… Continue

Stephen Hobson OS Thoughts

For a few years I used Windows 98. At that point in time I did not realize that I was a geek. Then the day came were I used Windows XP. Better, but still not great. Then, the all mighty Vista came. Bleehhh! Windows Vista is one of the worst operating systems out there. Unfortunately that is what I am using now. I would love to switch to something like a Mac Pro but I cant spend $5000 right now. Not many people can. So, I am stuck with a piece of s*!t like Vista. I have got a few E-mails sitting… Continue

iPhone iPod Touch or iPhone?

This has been a highly debateable topic around the Internet world, and I wanted to take the opportunity to share my opinions on which is better for you. the iPod Touch is an iPod(duh), which can play music(another duh), and it has the iTunes App Store, in which you can download applications to your iPod Touch(Apple announced 10,000+ apps at the beginning of the month). It also has Mail, Calendar, Stocks, Calendar, YouTube, Notes, Weather, Maps, Mail, etc. The iPhone 3G has that too, except it ha… Continue

Trevor Hall Adobe Flash vs Macromedia Flash

Every geek, in his or her lifetime, will want to create a flash app, widget, or animation. Well that time for me was about 5 years ago. Back then Flash was owned by Macromedia. They were bought out by Adobe in 2005. Well When that happened Flash became part of the "CS" bundle. Along with Photoshop and other Adobe Products. Anyway a few years ago I started to get very interested in designing flash animations and apps. So I took a bunch of online tutorials and taught myself a bunch of cool thing… Continue
