I've been a long time Ubuntu and Linux user. Don't get me wrong, I try to use as many different operating systems as often as I can, but primarily on my machines, I've been using Ubuntu or some variant of Ubuntu for around 4 years now.
People ask me, why use Linux? I tell them, it's fun. To me, using Linux is somewhat of an ongoing never ending project to make your computer work best. And whats different of that rather than in Windows or Mac is that on Linux the job is on your shoulders to do s… Continue
Well I finally went and tried it fully and kinda like it. Still kinda clumsy with it and getting used to being in it.
I did get my games to work with Crossover, Cost my $40 but it worked. (I play wow mostly and it runs that with a loss of ~5-7 fps, not to bad.
I also did a funny thing. I made Ubuntu look like mac os x >>
Recently YouTube has released a BETA for users profiles that is easier to use. While I did try it for a while some of the positioning was off and hard to read. But I am sure YouTube will get it right.
Well, here are a few features:
Visitors can browse through and watch your uploads, favorites, and playlists without needing to leave your channel.
You can customize and design your channel (and the videos on it) without ever leaving the page
One of the most potential web browsers I have seen so far is, Safari 4. I have high hopes for it. I love how it integrates a live spell checker with integration with the latest JAVA and FLASH players. I also like the Top Sites feature where you can see all the top sites that you have visited. What also makes looking at recent web pages easier is your history, Apple has integrated their "Cover Flow" with the history to see snap shots of your history. Safari has over 150 NEW features. After about… Continue

I think Onlive is going to be a great service I love to play games, but I also love physical media being able to touch something and look at it. This is why I would rather have a physical disk, rather than to have digital content. I also feel this way about steam and other downloadable game
services, but the reason that I have an open mind about Onlive is because it is streaming media.
I'm already signed up for the beta program and would love to own it if it is cheap enough. I own a PlayStation… Continue

This isn't really a blog it just contains a download link!
Safari 4 is now standard on Mac OSX Leopard and is automatically installed after 10.5.8, but some people, including me to be honest, don't like it, and to add to that it can't be removed, but have no fear, download this Safari 3 app below. It's not Safari 3 installer, just the .app, launch it when you want, launch 3 and 4 next to each other if you like!… Continue

Oh, hia there, I didn't see you come in. Quite obvious really, as it's difficult to see somebody come "in" a blog posted on the web. But enough of my bad jokes. Instead, I'm gonna get straight to the point...
Who want's to have the Windows vista beta, or "Longhorn" sounds on their computer.
Now it may seem like a complete ripoff: Not true. I'm offering a zip for download with every single longhorn sound for just $0.00! (I'd get nailed by Microsoft if I'd put a price on it)
Point is, if… Continue

So, Last Night, I was Extremely excited to find out that I got invited to the Google Wave Developer Sandbox Build. I gave them my details (name, nickname i wanted, 2nd and 3rd choices for nicks..etc.) And waited. This morning, I had a email saying “ Get Ready To Wave!” And it had my login details in it.
So, I ran to my web browser and logged in right? Wrong. I sat for a hour and re-watched the google IO demo, so I had a basic Idea on how to use wave. I thought I had a good idea, but really I di… Continue
Recently a number of Google Apps. came out of their beta stage and entered world of 1.0. An interesting move, not in and of itself, but rather because it brought up the issue of what Beta really means these days. It used to be that "beta" really meant that a software was in the testing phase, not ready for prime production. Often times, these tests were private, open to only a few people.
With Google Apps, however, the playing field changed. These beta apps were open to just about everyone. Mor… Continue
I just finished downloading the Windows 7 beta and installed it onto a new partition on one of my Hd's. The installation went pretty smoothly nothing went wrong. On first impressions of the OS it don't look all that different, the taskbar bar has changed and little and so has the widget panel. The explorer on W7 looks alot more user-friendly which is nice.
In my personal opinion I would like to of seen Microsoft change how they are going to sell their OS. I believe only one type of OS is requir… Continue
I can't believe it what a beta! i have been testing this since its was available to the public and developers.
And i know you've all heard it before! but this is how Windows Vista should of been! and the best Windows beta by far!
The explorer.exe was has finally been re-written, finally! so this means if a program crashes in Windows 7 Windows will not crash aswell it seems to handle… Continue

OK so after 1 day with the new Windows 7 Release Client all I have to say is, why didn't MS do it this way to begin with???
I'm noticing a 200 % speed boost over Vista Home Premium, my boot times are faster, my apps launch faster, hell even browsing is faster (with Firefox installed of course).
My notebook originally came with Vista 32 bit and now I am running Win7 x64.
So far after kind of a shaky installation (my pc hung a few times @ POST), my only gripe isn't with Win7, its that nVidia has y… Continue
