landonalexandra46 cleaning up windows 7

1. Clean Up That Mess - Taskbar, Quick Launch are combined and simplified. No more starting up applications in the order you want them to appear in the Taskbar. Windows 7 doesn't want apps plopping down icons all over your desktop either. And we'll see much less frequent balloon messaging, popping up and annoying us while trying to get other stuff done. Windows 7 also de-emphasizes some of the Windows controls and replaces it with large portions of user content. Viewing picture/graphics files in… Continue

jkls Endless Problems with Windows 7

Many people have claimed that Windows 7 lots better then what Vista or XP was. Well for me, that's certainly not the case. Ever since using Windows 7, I have encountered numerous problems. One of the main ones is happening on iTunes. When adding music/podcasts/video I get an error message. The message says this: "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." That's it. I have researched for days on what the solution could be. So far, noth… Continue

Ben Crowe Windows 7

Ok so yesturday I finally got round to upgrading my pc from vista to windows 7 and I have to say god damn its good. Let me elaborate, I didn't like the aero feature of vista as it slowed my pc down quite considerably, even though I run an 8800 GT with 4 Gb of ram but in Windows 7 I haven't noticed any slow down at all I can't believe it. Also the other thing that I didn't like about vista was the UAC couldn't stand it so much I had to turn it off. However in Windows 7 the UAC with its four diffe… Continue

Andrew DePersio Ubuntu 9.10... yeah.

I've been a long time Ubuntu and Linux user. Don't get me wrong, I try to use as many different operating systems as often as I can, but primarily on my machines, I've been using Ubuntu or some variant of Ubuntu for around 4 years now. People ask me, why use Linux? I tell them, it's fun. To me, using Linux is somewhat of an ongoing never ending project to make your computer work best. And whats different of that rather than in Windows or Mac is that on Linux the job is on your shoulders to do s… Continue

jkls If You're Thinking of Staying on Windows Vista, Read This!

I was one of those people who had said "why upgrade"? I liked Windows Vista, it simply worked for me. There were people said that I obviously didn't do anything with my computer. Well that's not true. I did do a lot with Windows Vista, and I have to say it worked. There were occasionally a few programs that would simply not install with Windows Vista. For example TeamViewer worked fine with Windows XP, but not Vista. Yesterday, I got Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I performed a clean install, and g… Continue

Windows 7. Oh Windows 7. As you may know, I have TechNet, so I've had the RTM of Windows 7 for a while now. I also used the Beta and RC. If you can't tell. I really like the OS. Many of the interface changes make me really happy, such as the new taskbar, and aero peek. Plus, I finally have a computer that can… Continue

Mike Whitehouse Chris Pirillo's Windows 7 ebook 70+ tips review...

Now that nearly every PC/Mac user, if not all has bought Microsoft's new operating system - Windows 7 or at least have a new system with Windows 7 pre-installed. This immediately brought everyone's attention to upgrade from Windows Vista, which wasn't too bright. I have to admit, Windows Vista wasn't so 'annoying' for me, infact I thought it was a pretty decent OS. Although it had some minor things that I wouldn't really complain about it still managed to accomplish everything I thrown at it.… Continue

Today, October 22, 2009, Windows 7 has been released. Many are very excited for the much anticipated launch. But with this release brings about some decisions... Which edition is best for you. With Windows 7, three separate editions are offered; Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate. Agent Popescu Windows just gets more incompatible the more new versions appear

Alright folks, here I am finnaly having the time to write this, after hours spent to reinstall Windows XP, due to the lack of capability of Windows 7 to run as an OS should that meaning without countless bugs and stuffs, for me I think I had enough of both Vista and Windows 7, and posibbly future Windows versions. As long as XP will be compatible with new software, I'll still use it. I will only move to Vista again only if XP will not be supported. Also there is something I must tell to especiall… Continue

Mercuryblues78 Using Windows 7 to 'Elevate Miami'

When new software comes out, usually the more well-to-do get access first, and then eventually it trickles down. However, some of the first to use Windows 7 will be among those traditionally left behind--including those in some of Miami's poorest areas, many of whom don't even have a home computer. That's because the city is moving to Windows 7 in several of the computer centers that are part of the Elevate Miami project, which aims to equip all of the city's residents with digital know-how, in… Continue

YorkshireNerd Come on 22nd October!

I have been excited about Windows 7 so far and I loved the Beta version of it. I was recently saying in the chat room that because Bill Gates retired "The downfall of Microsoft had began." which was really just my opinion but a wrong one. Steve Ballmer is the current CEO and is doing very well. I love the brand new features of Win7! I am desperate for it to be released and I love the standard features of it. Continue
