Alfred Esbjörnson My thoughts on Google Chrome OS

So, I watched the Chrome OS conference video that Google put up yesterday and I've been reading a lot of peoples responses. But, before I jump into that, I'd like to write about my own thoughts about the OS. When Google Chrome, the browser, was released I wasn't too impressed. I enjoyed using Firefox and having tried Chrome I decided to stick with Firefox. Nowadays I use Google Chrome mainly because of the look and feel of it, but also because of the speed. I think that the thing about Google C… Continue

Dmitri Microsoft finds security flaw in Google Chrome Frame

Back in September, when Google launched the Google Chome Frame plug-in for Internet Explorer users, Microsoft immediately warned that the move would increase the attack surface and make IE users less secure. Now comes word that a security researcher in the Microsoft Vulnerability Research (MSVR) has discovered a "high risk" security vulnerability that could allow an attacker to bypass cross-origin protections. Here's the explanation from Google's Matt Larson: * Severity: High. An attacker coul… Continue

Cookenstein Spending a week disconnected

Well, this year (starting tomorrow after noon, 20th of Nov) I am going to make a concerted effort (if I make it 48hrs I'll be shocked!) to be disconnected from the internet for 1 week. As I am spending this time down in Key west, Palmetto, and in Orlando Florida. yes, Thanksgiving for me this year will be Grouper sandwich on the beach. I can't wait! the week off of the internet will really test my discipline. I don't think I am capable of doing this, but will be proud if I do. I am open for any… Continue

iThomasina Change Is Hard

My worst fear in life is not achieving. Not succeeding. Not living every moment to it's fullest. Being so shy and self conscious and introverted is not exactly helping matters! Every day I try a little bit more to overcome shyness with boldness, self consciousness with self confidence, fear with faith. I'm getting there. But it's so hard, such a slow process, and I am so very impatient! I'd love to just wake up one day and be a different person.… Continue

Tera McMillan Back to Windows...

So our district has decided to do away with our Macs. If you had asked me a year ago how I feel about of Mac filled computer labs, I would have had a whole lot of four letter words for you. But Mac and I have gotten to know each other. It has been a slow and extensive session of exploration and learning. And now that I am feeling downright cozy with my Mac, they decide to give us PCs. WTF?? Yes, I understand they are cheaper. But do you have any idea what 850 elementary students do to computer… Continue

Identity Theft Expert Robert Siciliano Money Mules Facilitate Identity Theft and Fraud

Robert Siciliano Identity Theft Expert

Mules are relatively unaware people who get hooked into a “small business” or employment that is a function of a criminal enterprise.
