In regards to the black screen and reboot since installing the 9800GT card. I recently installed a 9600GT card and had the same problem. Here is what I found. I had decided to remove the card as it was useless to me with all the black screens and reboots. When I went to take the card out it was hot I couldn't touch it. On my Dell system the TV card sat in the slot next to the video card and was blocking the fan resulting in little or no air getting to the card. I removed the TV card and the card has been stable since. I found out that the reason for the black screen is that when the card overheats it shuts it self off. Also be aware that the 9800GT needs a 425 Watt power supply. I also downloaded Riva Tuner and I was able to set the fan to 70% to enhance the cooling. You can set the fan to 100% but it is quite noisy at the speed. My card now runs at 45C and I have no more black screens etc. The end result here is that you need to allow as air to the card as much as possible.
