take the computer to an Apple Store, and see what they say, could be faulty hardware.
you are supposed to eject the drive. oh a Mac this is done by taking the USB icon on the desktop and dragging it into the trashcan (it will show the eject symbol)

Been a while, so i guess i should update on the iMac
Ive had it now for a few months, and absolutely love it. The only thing i didnt like was the lack of HDD space, but i fixed that last week by getting the WD 500GB External Studio Edition HD, and its great! Ported over all of my music, and movies and am all set up like i wanted.
I dont know about anyone else, but i have to say it, THIS IS THE BEST KEYBOARD EVER!!!!!!!

Ordered an iMac and it is so close i want to cry!
I ordered a refurbished iMac @ apple.com, this was on sunday 9/21. it is now 6 days later, and it JUST got to MA, from Cali. But this isnt why im sad, im sad because i have to wait today and tomorrow while it just sits in the back of a truck waiting to be sent. I JUST WANNA PLAY WITH IT! And now i am sick, which means if the computer was here, i could call off of work on monday. thats right, call off work so that i could stay home and play with my new mac. You know you would, too.
