Ubuntu 9.10 is truly a phenomenal operating system for all the reasons you mentioned. I enjoy using it every single day. I haven't used Windows (any version) for a year now and couldn't be happier.

it sounds like u did more of a downgrade........i would rather trade in a desktop rig for a i7 laptop
