Excellent post. Very useful information.
These are all licensed as Unrestricted Freeware. FileZilla 3.2x is still my favorite of the group list I maintain along with Free Download Manager.

Yeah, FileZilla is what i use, it's free and easy, but if SmartFTP were free again, I'd use it.

Geeks has an button to embed a link. Otherwise it is Text of your link here. Which results in Text of your link here. The target="_blank" makes the link open in a new window which is desired on a forum.

You can SFTP into a jailbroken iPhone/iPod if you have Netatalk installed ;)

I'll give it a look.
And I think that whole FTP built-into Finder would be pretty damn sweet.
I have never seen an FTP client that I just really loved. CyberDuck is probably the best one I have seen.
What I wish is that Mac OS X had built in FTP support through Finder.
