Well I wouldn't say never, but I strongly advise against it.
Remember the worn out saying, that is all too true. Life is too short. You gotta simply get on with it, and try to think of the moments that made you happy, forget the rest. It is no good to brood about it. Your heart will thank you. :)

I've found that that the easiest way for me to get over someone, is to go out and get really drunk, than call them and start babbbling incoherently about some nonsense. after that i'm usually pretty much over them.

best way to get over some one is never to see them again.. simple as that.. it never works being friends and so on.
it hurts to see them go for what ever the reason the relationship dident work.but in the end it hurt more if you stay in contact
