ive never had a bad expirince with any brand except belkin, which i avoid for anything.

Most standard home based routers are pretty similar in performance/value these days. Belkin, dlink, LInksys all pretty much the same, it sounds as if you may have a configuration issue or power issue in your home for that type of incredible failure…

Yes, LinkSys stuff is good. They're fairly cheap and have really good range. I do like the WRT54G stuff. They may not look good, but they do work well. Until they start having problems. Which may not take so long - my friend went through 7 within a…

Umm. First of all... Who runs a site that gets 10K hits a day with 400GB traffic AT HOME? Seriously, get a dedicated server or co-location. Secondly, yes, you would need a pro-grade router for that.

I've had the first one you mentioned (Apple Airport Extreme) for 4 hours, and it is the best router I have ever owned. I had a LinkSys WRT54G for a while - it was really good, especially the range, but it broke down, so I replaced it with some Tren…

I have had much the same problem here. I'm a technician of 15 years as well. However, I have found D-Link to be most reliable and long life over all, but needs a larger antenna for decent range, which run about $7 - $10 on eBay. (or a booster) The n…

If your going through that many, it is more likely that you have a problem with your setup. Do you use a surge protector? Do you replace it every year? I really like the Apple Airport Extreme. It runs a little expensive but it is definitely worth i…

I do have that sort of problem. I use the troubleshoot problem by right clinking the network icon to repair connection, sometime I have to do it twice. I know that is annoying. Never had that problem with XP.
