video/graphic cards

Hello again fellow geeks X)
I'm still trying to get a few things down with my first build but still don't understand much about video cards. I know what they do, interface needed, and range from $20 to the actually price of a computer. but I don't understand features each one does. I know Nvidea and ATI make great chip sets, but the whole crossfire ready stuff, memory type used, or how to tell which video card are better than others. If anyone can help me that would be great X)

btw the video ca… Continue

my revized first Computer

Okay I have been doing ome more research and found a new power supply, and new motherboard plus processor. I know they are not top of the line but hey, I dont have much cash so spend which is why I'm doing this blog so I won't waste my money wildly. Anyway I still plan to use my antec twelve hundred ultimate gaming case (fyi I'm not much of a gamer just got it because gaming computers are quite powerful) and I already have an IDE hard drive and an IDE cd/dvd drive. I'm not to concern about the R… Continue

my first comp.

ok I am building my first computer (yah) and i just wanted to see if all the components I have will actually work w/ each other. I already have a case (the antec twelve hundred ultimate gaming case), a video card (PCIe 16x), a cd/dvd drive, and a harddrive. I found a motherboard off ebay and the rest off newegg. check them out and see if I missed anything.

The 4th I think is going to be fun but a long day smoking. I am going to start at about 7 am, and get the Boston Butts, on the smoker with some Oak wood, and later in the day rub down some ribs and start them around 11 or so. By 5 some Corn grilling alng with some Zuchinni, homemade baked beans which too will start early in the morning. Some Iron skillet jalepeno cornbread, and some Jicama slaw to throw in some roughage and I think we'll be good here.... :)
