Hey, hi there. I wanted to drop in and let you know that just this morning I launched a brand new social network to link folks around environmental issues and media. I'd love for my geeks friends to join. We're a little lonely right now on the new site, with only three members. So come join us and bring your friends. You don't have to be a media maker to join. Anybody can participate in dialogue and wonderment of Mother Earth, and meet new friends. But from the looks of your photos, EcoPaparazzi is your kind of place! The URL is http://ecopaparazzi.ning.com

I come back to the U.S. for the month of November and then return to Costa Rica and Nicaragua for another year, beginning in December. So, sure, if you've got time and don't mind, I'd benefit from your research. Thanks!

Desiccant silicon gel packs have kept my equipment from crashing and burning, but I was wondering if there are actually gadgets that are designed with high heat and humidity in mind. There are some new totally sealed digital point and shoot cameras that are tiny and totally waterproof. I've seen scuba divers and snorkelers use them and they take great shots. Just wondered if there are product lines out there that cater to the tropical market. Thanks for the feedback!

What are the most durable, indestructible camera/video/electronic gadgets for tropical rainforest temperatures and humidity? Digital anything is having a rough time here. I see by your profile that you are a specialist in geek gadgets.
