What kind of geek are you?
100%!!! Any thing and everything tech related interests me. From programming to web design and everything in between.
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I am all about technology. I've been into computers (coding, designing, engineering, IT, etc..) in one way or another since I was 9 yrs old. As of now I am the President and co-founder for a company that does mainly commercial work involving networking, IT, server build up, home business installs, etc.
How did you find out about our Geek community?
Following Chris Pirillo since TechTV
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
Main Computer:
2008 MacPro Dual Intel Xeon 2.8ghz
4TB Storage
32gb RAM
Dual 8800GT Graphics Cards
Dual Acer AL2223W 22" Monitors
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Well I own an all around technology company that right now specializes in commercial computer services. I want it to prosper and make it something that makes a difference in how people do business. Not only doing service but making it possible for the customer to have an entirely different experience with what their computers do for them at work.
What makes you laugh?
Anything and everything...I have an "all around" sense of humor.
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
My family. All the other things can be replaced, but nothing...i mean, nothing comes before my family (and I don't just mean blood, just because your blood doesn't make you family or mean you have to love)!
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
wow. I have no idea. I've done stupid things for the sake of OC'ing a CPU. I've built crazy cases; coded programs to do the dumbest things; i couldn't pick just one....I can tell you the dumbest thing I've done for the sake of technology. I was intrigued in how the Delta 220cfm fan would elevate itself off the ground when turned on. So I wen to pick it up from the wrong side and I heard a big, deep click and then saw a piece of plastic fly across the room. A fan blade from that 220cfm fan had hit right below my thumb on my palm and it broke through the skin of course, it hit the bone, broke the fan blade, and turned my jeans a burgundy color within seconds. I don't want to get much more graphic but you get the point! I didn't get stitches which I should have because it was spread open about 3" wide. I wrapped it tight in an undershirt i tore and went to the nearest CVS for bandages and big "Stair Strips".
What do you do to entertain yourself?
I'm a geek, so anything to do with technology/electronic devices/computers, but i'm also into music (mixing, producing, etc....) as well as work on and racing motorcycles and cars (more so motorcycles then anything. I find it more challenging and adrenaline packed to be on a road course with 150hp between your legs that weighs only ~400lbs). Also browse YouTube a lot for fun and for news/business. Other then Geeks! I frequent Facebook. To me Facebook is like an Apple propduct; clean, shiney, and to the point... Myspace on the other hand (which I have a profile but do not visit much) is like Windows; packed with too much useless stuff, their servers are not strong enough for the number of members they have and are always getting errors when doing this....I just don't care for it.
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
My favorite books are user manuals for coding and designing. It takes a good "normal" book for me to be able to stay involved and read. Most of the books I read are on History or Factual novels. History has always interested me. Music and movies I can't choose because I'm big into all types and genres. Other then technology I'm a huge music and movie addict. My collection of cd's (which are all now stored digitally are rediculous) and my collection of DVD's consist of all types of movies from anime to, lol, iono whatever genre starts with "Z". I have 4x 500 CD/DVD case filled and I am half way through my 5th one.

Blackberry Media Sync now available!!!

Is anyone out there like me? A long time Blackberry, or should I say Crackberry, user, one that wondered over to the dark side of the PDA world and purchased an iPhone. Well if you were like me for a couple months, using and iPhone and being an avid iPhone user that loved and I miss being able to sync over my music and playlists from iTunes so easily. But now that I own a Blackberry Bold (and don't plan on going back, but that's another post) it isn't easy at all.
Well the wait is over, blackber… Continue

YouTube and Warner Split up (not a good thing)

Today YouTube and Warner Music failed to reach an agreement to keep their content on the most popular video web site today, after Warner's contract ended with YouTube. This could will potentially impact You Tube's music revenue in a negative way; how much we don't know yet.

Warner Music posted a statement about the issue today:

"We are working actively to find a resolution with YouTube that would enable the return of our artists' content to the site. Until then, we simply cannot accept… Continue
