What kind of geek are you?

Why do you consider yourself a geek?

A EE turned math teacher.

What are your "geeky equipment" specs?

Lappy's, sometimes with numeric keypads for entering grades, sometimes with scanners, sometimes with promethean boards...I'm a teacher...whatever I need for the classroom now, I don't play much. However, the lappys are networked at home.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

A beach bum

What makes you laugh?

Little kids laughing, my students having fun learning, Billy the Kid and Rantz

What is the thing in life you treasure most?

friendship, family

What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?

I don't know, I've done some REALLY geeky things at Ga Tech. What stands out in my mind is making a date wait while I checked each chip of a memory board to find out which one was bad and replacing it before we went out (I couldn't afford to leave it in pieces).
