Look...I'm trying to help and you haven't even tried what I'm telling you. I didn't say your hardware was defective. I said you have to switch the SATA controller mode in your BIOS to something other than AHCI...normally compatibility.

At what point does your computer blue screen during the install? If it happens right after the install copies the setup files to your drive then I still think it is related to what I posted above. At least try it to see if it makes a difference. A...
I'm willing to bet that the reason you're having issues installing XP on your laptop has to do with how the OS is seeing your hard drive controller at install.

Hey thats what we are all here for! Hopefully that will happen for you! My wife and I moved out of Rochester due to the economy there. I worked city EMS and my wife as a police officer there and over the course of about 10 years watched a great city take a turn for the worse due to all the downsizing of Kodak, B&L and Xerox. It is so unfortunate due to all the beauty of NYS and all that it has to offer!!
Things for us are going well, We just bought our first house..YAY for us!!!
Zune, I knew that you were from NYS but after reading your post(s) about Xerox I can sympathize with you. While I did not work for Xerox, I am from Rochester and know A LOT of people who have been let go from Xerox, among other local companies. sorry to hear that you are no longer with them. What are you doing now?? where you able to get a buy out option form the company?? Hope everything is going well for you!!
