The Acer and MSI Wind machines are well thought of, too. Skim the NEWEGG user reviews to see the happy and the not. I'm not "up" on the latest specs, it's a fast moving target.
I duplicated a great deal of my desktop software, so the machine feels like home but battery life suffers dramatically. ROYBOY is very easy to carry around. I have the XP taskbar, my Sidebar and RocketDock all autohide to maximize viewable screenspace. The stock resolution is great and quite detailed, rivaling 15" screens (same native rez).
It has been easy to showoff just made pics, watch TV files, read books and access the net via WiFi whenever I travel away from home base. I believe current production has moved the RH "Shift" key which is inconvenient to use on ROYBOY. Gaming would probably be somewhat tedious with onboard graphics....
ROYBOY the ASUS 1000H eeE PC is doing dandy. I followed the advise of one of the NEWEGG reviewers and purchased it with an extra 1GB RAM card (or was it a 2GB replacement -- I disremember) and a 320GB WD HD. I'm typing on him now. They've gotten lots cheaper since then, too! Still running XP Home. UNIBLAB, the 2.99gHZ CELERON in a cOOLERmASTER 590 is running Win7 BETA. Should get off my keister and install the RC RSN! :)
