Somehow I think you didn't mean to reply specifically to Danny's comment..

Hard to say. I think ATI. I have always preferred ATI. I have never had a problem with Nvidia, though.

Profile Information

What kind of geek are you?
Universal
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I'm a transformers, star trek, star wars, AD&D, sci-fi, fantasy, black metal, old fashioned purple-haired kinda girl... with kids. Woe is them. MUWAHAHAHAHA!
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
This box is older than Godzilla poop.

Soyo Dragon2, P4 1.8Ghz, 512MB, 160GB HDD, Sony DVD+R/+RW
Standard POS ergo keyboard, MS 5B Opt Mouse

Yeah, I need to upgrade like 5 years ago.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Sane. No wait...
What makes you laugh?
YOUR MOM!
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
Kids, family, friends, oxygen, H2O... you know, the essential stuff.
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Some would say it was standing in line forever to see Star Wars I, some would say the $75 I blew on my Masterpiece Optimus that I should have used for new work stuff, but I say it was probably the fact that I asked my husband to get me a new video card for valentine's day and threatened to skewer him with the bouquet of flowers he was going to buy me.
What do you do to entertain yourself?
Make faces in the mirror and watch my kids point and laugh at me.
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
Wow, this list could get really long. I add more later:
Music: classical, rock, celtic, new age, metal, black metal
Books: sci-fi/fantasy, poetry, any good fiction/nonfiction
Shows: mythbusters, most Discovery-related things, cartoons
Artists: Van Gogh, McKean, my own stuff, and lots more
Hobbies: reading, writing, sewing, knitting, crocheting, fencing and other swordplay, gaming, drawing, music, and a million other things.
Etc: we'll cross that bridge later when the lava dies down some...

Almost here...

Christmas, Chanukah, Yule, Kwanzaa, or just plain old Winter Solstice... any way you look at it, it's very nearly here, and the signs of it are everywhere I look.
I don't mean the aisles and aisles of decorations, possible nonsensical gift ideas, and abundance of shiny price-reduced garbage food all made readily available for the season.

I mean the people.

Seriously, what the hell is it with this time of year bringing out the worst in people?
I watched a woman in the grocery store, who had bee… Continue

Geekery and such...

So this new thing is pretty cool, yeah?
I feel like I can pretty much speak "normally" and will be understood by pretty much everyone here so far, which is awesome.

I think I'm actually enjoying this place quite a bit. There's lots of fun people here who are both knowledgeable and smart, and actually know the difference between the two (I no ryte?).

So, hi to anyone reading this. If I can promise anything, it's that my little space here will evolve into one of two things: Random bouts of insan… Continue

Did you ever make your own transformers? Draw them on paper and cut them out, use brads to make the hinges. It's a lot of fun.

Good to hear it got cleared up.

Higurashi no naku koro ni is a twisted story, more over it is several stories. It appears the the director wanted to take every possible outcome from the game when he put the story together. So one chapter ends with everyone dead and the next chapter begins several days earlier. Each chapter telling a bit more about the characters and the background with only one chapter being the true story so it is a tad on the insane side. I just got the the "Answer" chapter as they call it and they are now explaining everything so it is like putting together a twisted puzzle of murder and betrayal that weaves through a 5 years period of time. Very interesting and rather depressing at points. Still interesting nontheless. It if funny when I told my wife that people were saying it is a confusion story with murderous little girls she said, "That should be right up your alley." LOL

Thanks, I hope so too, more for her sake considering she is sicker then I am right now.

Have a good day at work.
