Tyler, was that a cap of Win7 idleing? My vista home with IE8 and avast AV running is barely ticking over at 694 MB ram usage and peaking at 22% CPU usage with 75 processes.
Oh and don't feel bad, my HP530 has same processor speed , but I am stil...
and yess that says MacBookPro I was just shopping. Interested in getting one.

This is such an improvement from Vista Basic.
I have ( dont laugh) Intel Celereon M 1.6 GHZ with 2gb of RAM.
So how much less resources has windows 7 used?

get it from download.com
once u downloaded that the iso file of windows 7 you got right click it and click extract or something across those lines
once u done that your gonna have to make a 2.5 gb or how ever big the file is afterwards partition on your flash drive so in theory you should have a 14gb partition and a 2.5 gb partition you drag and drop the files extracted to the smaller partition.
once you done that you gonna need to go into your bios change the boot settings to boot into your memory stick, after that should boot into the memory stick and will boot into the installation process once you set you settings makes sure you select the right partition remember the size of the partition u wanna put the OS on so u dont fuck anything up once u selected the right partition install it and tell me how it works :)
