Windows 7 First Impressions

To be completely honest I haven't been following the release dates for Windows 7 because I haven't been very excited about a new Windows version. With the last release (Vista) being delayed so many times and rumours about this date and that date, I gave up on Microsoft's schedule.

Well I guess it's more like "MY NEW Blackberry Bold 9000" because it's been out for a little while :) None the less it's new for me and deserves a review. To start, I love having a qwerty keyboard with real buttons to be able to write emails and SMS messages. That is something I was convinced I would like before the purchase because it is so much faster than a phone keypad or a touch screen and having the feeling o… Continue

Geek Parents Listen Up! If You Used To Listen To The Radio To Track Santa, This Is Better!

I used to love listening to the radio on Christmas Eve because they always tracked Santa. They would give locations and the progress of Santa and how close he was to your city and it added to the magic of the night. My son is 4 years old, my daughter just turned 2 and because I am always online I did a search for the Santa Tracker for Christmas Eve. Sure enough NORAD has something there for my kids and I online.

Take a look at some of the video they put t… Continue

Wordpress 2.7 Installed And You Admins Are Going To Like The Interface!

So you all know that I was updating to Wordpress 2.7 because I touched on it last week. I am glad I made the switch because the admin interface is really nice. I liked the old 2.6.x interface as well but the charcoal on white is very easy to look at. The layout has also been cleaned up. Seems like less on the page but all the same information is there. Better organization makes it seem much cleaner to the eye.… Continue
