Knoppix is a good. Sometimes you need something not Debian based just to boot right, like Puppy, or if you're okay with the cli, SystemRescueCD is good. The real swiss army knife of Linux boot CD's lately though seems to be Parted Magic. For deal...

I saw your post in the google chrome group and I just wanted to say that if you are navigating between tabs and one of them separates from the rest, all you have to do is hover over the tab and drag it back into the main window and it will join the other tabs. You can also organize the order of which you want the tabs to be in. :]

Just busy

I haven't really been visiting. Too darn busy. But my recent quest has been to upgrade my computer. My birthday is coming up and well I am planning to get a better motherboard and CPU for my desktop turned tower.

A few nights ago, I used one of my new Towers and put of the guts of my desktop (Antec case) into a Powerspec case. All was good, had a bit trouble remembering the jumper settings but finally got that figuring I forgot to provide power to the switch. Once all the kinks were taken care… Continue

Password Cracking made easy!

Warning . . never ever leave your computer unsupervised for a second. I mean come on, . . . wait lets back track. I love discovering all kinds of toys and any information on technology. . especially software on how to make my life more simpler.

I have compiled a list of all kinds of programs for password recovery. Well the idea makes sense. Hey its great to have things out there to recover a password when you forget it. But . . what happens when those apps fall into the wrong hands. Hell i foun… Continue

Synergy

I have a Windows XP Home Desktop and a Windows Pro laptop. Usually, I am using a separate keyboard and mouse for the desktop and another mouse and keyboard for my laptop. This can get pretty tedious. Switching from one to the other. Someone recommended me using Synergy to share just the one set. But geez, how much of a pain setting that up was.

What I did, was provided the computer names for each computer. I then noticed the names were slightly incorrect and still no luck after correcting them.… Continue

A simple usb nic.

Its the little things that can make me all warm and fuzzy inside. The USB nic adapter allows you to quickly install and connect to the internet. Every time I use it, I feel like I have saved myself from a gruesome method of finding drivers.

I mean, lol, i have a few friends who forget to back up their drivers before reinstalling their OS. First i chew them out and then realize who i am talking to. Followed by me using the portable nic to recover all their drivers for their computers.

And it onl… Continue

Networking 1.1 - IEEE

I am studying for my Network Plus. . . and so far I just finished chapter two of my second Network + book. This book will hopefully close the door or anything I may have missed during the first book.

But at the end. The book provides small little projects or whatnot for me to do or look for in addition to what I've read in the chapter.

So I thought for any of you who are practically in the same boat as I will like to share my findings.

So right now. . . I have been given the task of going to… Continue
