Dual Monitor Issues

i have been to your website before and a lot of people tried to help me but im affraid im a lost cause :( ... my problem is i have a laptop ( Gateway-PC ) and an additional monitor, when i plug in my 2nd monitor to my laptop the 2nd monitor is automatically assigned as the main monitor. i would like my laptop monitor to be my main monitor. now i do know there is a dialog box that you can click to make a certain monitor the "main" monitor however i am unable to click it ...
