All rounder really, but definately more Software and programming than Hardware.
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I am a Stereotype, Sits at a ton of computers every spare moment (Usually two or three at a time), always tries Beta software rather than the last stable version, obsses about things other people find boring (mainly beta software again) and rather than watching TV I am either playing a computer game or watching Chris Pirillo Live/TWiT Live/Datalore.TV.
How did you find out about our Geek community?
By Reading Chris Pirillo's Blog and Watching his live stream of course... Remember, Some Chris A Day Keeps The Malware Away.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
A Bigger Geek
What makes you laugh?
Good Comedy, especailly Big Bang Theory/The IT Crowd/Red Dwarf. Also, things that others find totally unfunny!
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
Next to my family, my computers. I spend most of my time working on them, and I've spent quite a bit of money on them over the years.
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Set up a web server in the hallway, It runs suprisingly well.
I also do lost of PHP and Javascript Programming, I'd like to think I'm good. Well, good enough.
Also, I installed ubuntu Linux on Dual Boot...Why you ask? Because I was bored and I felt like it. :D
What do you do to entertain yourself?
I have a blog I write to regularly on Lockergnome.com, twitter also proves for a lot of entertainment.
Music - Queen, Pink Floyd, Status Quo, Barenaked Ladies and Many More...
Movies - Back To The Future Trilogy, Star Trek Films (Mainly TNG cast)
TV shows - Star Trek (All series, especially The Next Generation, Voyager and Enterprise), Red Dwarf, Big Bang Theory, Open All Hours, Mythbusters, Top Gear and include pretty much all other british comedies from 80s/90s.
Games - Grand Theft Auto Series, Half Life Series, Crysis, Bioshock and Loads of other games.
I use xChat, mainly because it's free and works quite a bit like colloquy. I prefer Colloquy for mac though.

As with most other people, I think you really notice the difference in Quad Core v. Single Core when you play system intensive multi-threaded games. Games such as GTA IV and newer Source Engine games run so much better.
Before a quad core AMD Phenom I had an Intel Pentium 4 at 2.4ghz. I saw a hell of a difference when it came to performance, mind you it could be the fact that it was a completely new computer.
