Either C# or PHP for their flexibility and ease of use. I'm constantly taken aback by the number of features in PHP. It has an extensive set of functions for manipulating images and recently I found out it can also write PDFs! Incredible.

Look into "XNA". It's a Microsoft run platform for writing games with C#. Just google it, there's plenty of resources out there.
