Nah, you are in great shape. AVG will do the job just fine. Yeah the beauty of boot camp is that you can move files from you Windows install, and there are plenty of Mac Programs for this too.
Take care.
update.
installed windows on a 25GB part, and AVG 8.5. made it FAT32 as i read that you can access the files in OS X.
wondering if this may be a door for something to slip through...
not doing anything else tonight with it
Your Black Macbook (I miss mine) has ample power for WOW, especially if you do XP in Boot camp. 4 gigs of ram will probably not all be used in XP especially using WOW. Not terribly graphics intense as far as I am aware.

You guys act like viruses are so common, I don't have any antivirus software installed on any of my PCs, and never have I gotten a virus on any of them.
i do have a follow up question,
suppose the following scenario:
get a virus on the windows partition, would this have any impact on osx? or does it treat the part as something entirely different. (even if its a sharable FAT32 partition)
Yep, Even is right, you will be susceptible to viruses when you boot into windows. Once you go to that "side" of the hard drive, the MacBook only sees itself as a PC.
