spyware that won't go away

I agree with Dan, superantispyware is really powerful. I used to use to use 2 other good ones in conjunction with each other, but superantispyware beat them all.

WINDOWS "8" ??? Yep it's in the works !

I love Windows 7 and have loved the features developed for Windows 8 so far. My work PC runs our official copy of Windows 7 Enterprise and I have Windows 7 RC as a virtual machine on my MacBook Pro,…

Thanks for the compliment. I grew up loving all martial arts, but have always favored systems focussed on real situational survival and techniques that work in real situations over systems that focussed on competition or sport. I loved the ninja mov…

Many awesome fight scenes have been caught on film. I have many favorites. Being an American Kenpo instructor, I am partial to 'The Perfect Weapon' with Jeff Speakman. My favorite scene is when he challenges 3 TKD guys to a match.

Great group to start. I've been a martial arts geek my whole life. First started training in American Kenpo at age 4. Started to seriously study it at age 10 and have ever since. it is the art that I'm highest ranking in (3rd Dan), but have received…

Batman gives me the creeps. He is so dour. Honestly, have you ever seen him smile? A real smile and not a sneer?

Of course you hit on another possibility. He doesn't really have super powers. Perhaps that is the reason I don't like him. That would just make him a gloomy rich guy who wears tights, a mask, and cape without any supernatural stimulus of any sort.

I have to say that my fav superheroes have a sense of humor. Life's not all bad.

Thanks for welcoming me! Yeah I actually work for Apple :) Ohh let me know how the bootcamp thing goes cause a lot of people have been saying that they feel as though Parallels doesn't run into as many problems as bootcamp (in regards to partitioning) but to be honest wouldn't you rather be able to run windows as a completely different operating system as apposed to running an operating system on an already running operating system? bootcamp runs faster... on a side note im writing you this message on a DELL ha

Profile Information

What kind of geek are you?
Sci-Fi lovin, Windows, Linux, & Mac using IT Security Geek. I'm also a huge 80's Geek. From 80's movies to music, I still love the era. Of course, I'm also into current music and movies, but the 1980's are a guilty pleasure and an indulgence.
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
Love Sci-Fi, love computers and all things techy and cool. I also am 35 but still love the cartoons and shows I grew up with.
How did you find out about our Geek community?
Searching YouTube for Mac vs PC videos while trying to decide the platform of my next system.
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
Brand New (2009) 17" MacBook Pro with...
3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU - (Upgraded)
8 GB of DDR3 RAM - (Upgraded)
500 GB HHD (7200 RPM)
And, a few tweaks and enhancements to keep it fast and smooth.
---------------------
In addition to computers, I love all forms of technology. I love science and knowledge.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Me, grow up? NEVER...!!! I actually aspire each day to be better than I was the day before. Sometimes, I succeed.
What makes you laugh?
My daughter, Good comedy, and my own dumb jokes (I have many).
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
My family, my computers, and my imagination. I treasure knowledge and wisdom.
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Purchased the entire series of the original 1984 Transformers. That may not seem "Geeky", however I was a 29 year old soldier serving with Army Special Forces at the time. I also have taken my Lenovo T61 work laptop with the standard IT Department build of Windows XP and have themed it to look like OS X Lepoard to include the cursors and all. I have also replaced the Windows Orb in Windows 7 (start button) with an apple logo that turns into the original rainbow logo on mouse-over. I'm kinda excited about my new MacBook Pro to arrive.
What do you do to entertain yourself?
Well, I take my non productive time to optimize and tweak my Operating systems and computers for performance. Watch movies, read books, I also practice and teach martial arts. I teach Kenpo, Ninjutsu, and Russian Systema. I love reading, growing and learning. I love everything from science to spirituality.
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
I love Alternative Modern Rock music. Depeche Mode is a favorite, but not listened to on a regular basis, but more of an indulgence once and a while. I love good Sci-Fi Movies and series like the original and new Battlestar Galactica. I record and watch episodes of Chuck. I teach and practice Martial Arts (when I have time). and I play on my computer a lot. I love all kinds of books from Sci-Fi to spiritual.
