switching from 9600gt to 9800gt,is it really worth ?

their both good cards...9800gt is 55nm.....the basic differences so far between the 8 series and the 9 series our none, their just either faster......newer technology down from the old 65nm.
alot of people still game on high settings with 8800'gt'...
with a 9800 you will notice a slight boost.....not much but you're better off with a gtx if you're considering an upgrade
8800GT is 65 nm older core and runs hotter.
Next gen of cards are currently/about to come out. I would wait and make a larger upgrade as you will be displeased unless your hardware was not functioning correctly. If he really needs a video card I would suggest the 9800.
9800gt are 55nm and 9600gt are 65nm
well it depends, what you using it for, if not much then the 9600gt, if ur gonna be doing some proper gaming best to get the 9800gt, it will perform better when it comes to gaming, and its basicly a rebadged 8800gt, that one and the 9800gt are bas...
well i have a 9600gt and one of my friend is also planning to buy a graphic card but he cant decide which graphic card to buy,he is thinking of 9800gt,he doesnt have a lot budget,i told him to go for 9600gt,its affordable and only 10% slower then ...

i would say it depends on your configuration but as a ruel of thum with nvidia cards i allways add at least 100 to 200 wats tho there ratings and also make sure its a good psu like a antec or bfg or pc power and cooling. i would also get one with ...
The 450 wattt you have should be enough unless your planning on overclocking the card. I'm not too sure if you can go any lower but you can go to new egg, click on psu's, then click on the psu tester and it gives results as to what you need.
sure, but if you plan to upgrade the PSU, i suggest something bigger, like 600w or 650w just in case.
so if in the future you want change the video card for something better, you will have no problem.
the 9800gtx is not bad, and for sure 400w is e...
People have ran 8800GT's with Overclocked Pentium 4's on pSU's less then 450.
a 9600GT yeah that will run on a 450W fine..it should, having a bigger PSU might give more power to the GPU, but if nvidia says it requires a Power supply of 400W and y...

HELLO,I AM USING WINDOWS 7,I HAVE ALSO USED VISTA AND XP,
FOR THE FIRST TIME I PLAYED GTA 4 ON XP SP3,THEN I PLAYED GTA 4 ON VISTA SP1 AND THEN I PLAYED GTA 4 ON WINDOWS 7
BUT WHEN I PLAYED GTA 4 ON WINDOWS 7 ,I GOT AMAZED BY THE GRAPHICS ,I COULD FEEL THE DIFFERENCE,REALLY AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE,THE SHINESS ON THE ROAD AND THE WHOLE CITY SHINING.

I've seen your discussion about Splinter Cell. Yes, i'm thinking about getting it but i'm also thinking about getting an xbox original (not the 360) because I like to wach movies and with some soft moding I can put movies on it. Also Hard moding would be in order because then I can get a expantion kit that extends the hight of the xbox for 3 more hard drives. Soft moding is a change in software and hard moding is where I use a chip to acces the bios and unlock the hard drive to be able to add more. Since the xbox has a usb interface through the controllers (from what I heard) I can even use a keyboard. Another way is to gut the xbox and put standar components in it but still using the expantion kit from Newegg.

- In a discussion maybe two weeks ago or so Ben lost his patience and attacked a Mac Fanboy with some bad language, and attacked Pirillo in the same post for having this site be a "Mac oriented" website instead of for all Geeks. I was posting in the same discussion at the time. I thought the whole thing was sorta funny, but feelings were hurt and and Fanboy went running to report and "incident", Ben got a warning and was told to apologize to Fanboy or he would be banned, Ben refused and went off on the whole site for it's bias. I sorta agree, I think this whole place is biased toward Macs and Fanboys, you say one thing against Apple and it's like a nest of Hornets. You have to understand Ben too so you know where he is coming from. I couldn't find the thread, I think it was taken down.
