I like CDs and DVDs especially when it comes to software. It comforts me that it is physically there if anything happens to my computer

It is definitely interesting. I might use it as a secondary netbook. Chrome is a lot more capable than Firefox or IE so conceivably, you could make web apps that were a lot more dynamic than your current web apps.

If I would ever get this Chrome OS then I would only use it on a secondary device, and really just for web stuff. Since it doesn't have programming stuff, and not even a terminal or something similar, the Chrome OS is worthless for "real" working....

While I don't see myself personally using it, any new os by a major name is a good thing, especially this as its innovative in a few ways.

I'm sure it'll be available for both laptops and desktops, but it's being developed with Netbooks in mind.

In a way, yes I'm excited for the new OS to come out. I know it has awhile to go until it's complete. The only downfall from what I have been hearing is that it will only be available on Netbooks. That's going to be horrible for awhile unless they...

I am excited about it but as a browsing appliance...not much more.

That is why cloud computing is not going anywhere too fast, it is a great idea, but were just not there yet. Having stuff online is always nice though, but having it on your desktop I think is better. You can actually try out a developer build ri...

You bring up a good point with itunes. A good majority of people keep their songs on itunes and I don't think that will change, MS Office isn't as much a problem because there is Google Docs which I'm sure people will be pushing. However here is a...

I was guessing it would be like gOS or jolicloud, cloud computing based around google apps, and I was right. Wasn't expecting to see anything like windows or os x. But for some reason I keep hearing it will change the os market, really some people...

Are you excited about this? To me honest I was but after seeing it I'm not that excited about it anymore. It hardly even seems like an OS to me and more of just a glorified browser but I don't know I guess it fits perfectly into Google's product l...

Good. There's a huge variety of stuff to read here. I didn't imagine I would get hooked in but apparently I have been for the time being. There's a lot of crap to skip over but there's more good content than I thought there would be.

What does a right wing 19 year old from San Diego do when summer is over?

Being an artist myself I consider this a bunch of BS. One cannot tell what kind of contract the artist is under with the record label. They may be getting a quite sizable chunk of money in… Continue
