You can pick up an external drive at any place that sells electronics get one thats as big or bigger than your macbook's internal drive
You need to leave it for 5 hours because you are resetting the battery. This is the instructions straight from Apple on how to do it
completely drain the battery to where the computer won't even start anymore let it be in that state for about 5 hours then plug your power adapter in and start the computer up. See if that works

This is one thing that really gets under my skin and quite frankly pisses me off. People going around on bittorrent and limewire downloading songs illegally. Then they try to justify it by saying the corporate fat cats are greedy and their money shouldn't go to them and the artists can make money off of shows.
