I like CDs and DVDs especially when it comes to software. It comforts me that it is physically there if anything happens to my computer

It is definitely interesting. I might use it as a secondary netbook. Chrome is a lot more capable than Firefox or IE so conceivably, you could make web apps that were a lot more dynamic than your current web apps.
If I would ever get this Chrome OS then I would only use it on a secondary device, and really just for web stuff. Since it doesn't have programming stuff, and not even a terminal or something similar, the Chrome OS is worthless for "real" working....

While I don't see myself personally using it, any new os by a major name is a good thing, especially this as its innovative in a few ways.
I'm sure it'll be available for both laptops and desktops, but it's being developed with Netbooks in mind.

i'm a pc guy but one thing i gotta credit apple with is cramming their hardware in each generation of the imac....its a great feat of engineering :)

This is one thing that really gets under my skin and quite frankly pisses me off. People going around on bittorrent and limewire downloading songs illegally. Then they try to justify it by saying the corporate fat cats are greedy and their money shouldn't go to them and the artists can make money off of shows.
