HP fans of the world! Come chat about anything Harry Potter related - from the books, movies, JK Rowling herself, how geeky of a fan you are, how you dress in robes and carry a wand and can recite several spells... um... yeah Come share. :)

I like the Ironman movie, but Spiderman didn't come out very well. They should have the whole movie to Venom.

Profile Information

What kind of geek are you?
TAKARAZUKA geek!!! And also, crazy writer/musical geek
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I live on coffee and computer and computer
How did you find out about our Geek community?
My brother David :)
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
I have a computer
What do you want to be when you grow up?
The musical note 'A' (but if not, the A minor chord... a close second would be the key of G)
What makes you laugh?
laughy things
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
Coffee. No, family and loved ones. My writing. COFFEE. Oh, music.. la la la!
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
staying in my room every night and almost every day for a whole month to write 352,000 words of novels. I refused strange things called 'parties' and 'going to the show', and sometimes things like 'eating' and 'sleeping' went undone too, because they were kind of a bother, really. Breathing I did, sometimes.
I just wrote... it was for a national contest thing!! And it was loads of fun. And I went a little bit crazy up in my head. I still am.

Update: Also, spending 150$ on a DVD (two discs) - of which I must stress was SECONDHAND - of an all women Japanese musical portrayal of the story of Julius Caesar. Or is that geeky? Trying to memorise the names of like, 40 women in each troupe, and there are five troupes, and then memorising their nicknames, and all of the plays they've been in.... gah. I have become Takarazuka obsessed. I think I am a Takarazuka geek now.
What do you do to entertain yourself?
watch Takarazuka!! Also, I write stories or poems, sit outside and drink something nice like coffee or tea or wine or brandy or vodka or hot choclate or all of them mixed together... I sing to myself, dance around like a crazy lunatic and read some awesome books. Iwrite poetry sometimes, and waste time on the net doing nothing really at all...
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
I am now obsessed with the Takarazuka Kagekidan (theatre). It is a Japanese, all-female acting/musical theatre troupe. Well, there are five main troupes within the theatre, plus a special troupe. There are roughly 80 women in each troupe. It is awesome. And EXPENSIVE - especially if you do not live in Japan (and I definitely do not live in Japan)

Movies: Sweeney Todd, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Addams Family, Tipping the Velvet, Harry Potter, a lot more that I'm missing...

Books: Desert of the Heart ~ Jane Rule, Fingersmith ~ Sarah Waters, Harry Potter series ~ JK Rowling, a bunch more... George Orwell, blah blah blah

Music: Goth, gothic metal, classical, pop, rock, Slovak and Czech music, Asian music of all kinds... actually most kinds of music .

Musicians in particular: Ali Project, Hungry Lucy, E Nomine, Emilie Autumn, Peha, Qntal, Omnia, Corvus Corax

Other things ~ I used to sing in three choirs, including an all women's berbershop choir. I also had my own berbershop quartet and we were awesome.

I'm trying to learn Welsh, Japanese, Chinese, and a little bit of Korean. I may move to Wales. Ok that's enough about me!! I'm supposed to be mysterious!!

Yes Waterhouse is brilliant! I love Ophelia. I think that perhaps I was her in a past life, or will be in a future one.

Hey Morticia, Thanks for stopping by. For the past month (or more) I haven't been that active. My Father was in a catastrophic accident and passed away a few weeks ago. My family had to come first. I have been spending a lot of time with my Mom.

I just started becoming more active, again, just this week.

It was very nice to hear from you!

Waiting - poem

This is the second poem that I wrote in the space of like fifteen or twenty minutes. It's how I seriously felt about someone... and about how they felt about me, what they really thought and felt, and the situation being too delicate to even try and question it or find out... since either way things could be bad. Um... so anyway... this is how it all poured out when I started writing. I don't think I changed anything. Please let me know what you think of it:
