What kind of geek are you?: Gaming/English Language and Literature

Why do you consider yourself a geek?: Actually there are a number of resons for this, one is cos I was a bright kid, who turned into a marginally smart 18 year old lol. See more about me further down somewhere lol

How did you find out about our Geek community?: My friend Richard aka The Beard ^_^

What are your "geeky equipment" specs?: Gaming has become less geeky now but oh well:
Ninetendo Wii,
Nintendo DS (original, bought upon release),
Gameboy Advance,
Gamboy Original (retro but still awesome ^_^),
Playstation 1,
Playstation 2,
PSP
And my mum has just bought herself an Xbox Elite, the swine! Lol

What do you want to be when you grow up?: Lawyer

What makes you laugh?: Silly jokes, stand up by Jimmy Carr, Achmed the Dead Terrorist (Jeff Dunham woo!) hehe

What is the thing in life you treasure most?: My boyfriend Andrew, my friends and my family

What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?: I went through my friends questionnaire and circled all her mistakes! Oh dear... hehe

What do you do to entertain yourself?: Read, write poetry and short stories, sing, playing on my Wii and DS ^_^

Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?: Music: Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Pink, Theory of a Deadman, Lonestar, Katy Perry, Aly and AJ, Miley Cyrus, a lot of rock stuff, oh and Dislocator & Cobrakiss (bands my friends are in ^_^)

Ok, so why am I a geek?

One of my sayings is "Lets make like Mario and let'sa go!" lol
Ok, so thats not the ONLY thing that makes me a geek. Geeks are renowned for being intelligent yes? Well, when I was 6 and about to go from Year 1 to 2 they decided to skip me a year and go straight to 3, fun right? Wrong. To be back in the right class I had to do Y5 twice because I couldn't move up to Secondary school with the others.
In Y4 I got a 4A on a writing task, the highest grade they could actually give me, never achieved by another student (I'm a writer, what can I say?).
When I was choosing my subjects to undertake at GCSE I chose to do AS ICT, something usually done by students at College at the age of 17. I started it at 14.
At GCSE I got nothing below a C and I took 12 of them! And of them all only 2 were Cs lol.
My intelligence was pushed on my a little bit, my father wanted me to get the best start out of life possible, he used to give me homework to do, but I don't resent him for it. I actually enjoyed learning, I was an avid reader as a child and I am now an expert one with a penchant for speed reading, 13.5 syllables a second according to Dr. Kawashima lol.
I was aware of what HTML was at the age of 6 and I am a self-taught touch typist, especially on Laptop keyboards (can't stand normal keyboards, the raised keys are awful!).
So yeah, I'm a geek because I was brought up to be smart, and you know what?
I LOVE IT!

Oh and my immense love of Nintendo could constitute geekiness too I guess :p

My current predicament!

Ok, so my Samsung U600 is knackered, there is no point in sugarcoating it, it still works enough to call and stuff but it's starting to resent me for texting, which I do A LOT.
So here's my thought, I want a new phone, another Samsung preferably, with the front-runners being a Tocco or an Omnia. Now both have their individual merits, though to me it seems that the Omnia is just a PDAified version of the Tocco in a sense. But I don't know what to do!
