Thank you! My dad has an Inspiron 6000 also! His absolutely sucks though. It's slow, freezes, and the hinge is broken so he can't shut it without the frame popping off.

Hey Michael, I've got a Dell 6000 from around the same time. They used a Hitachi drive in mine which is a fine drive, but they do eventually fail. I had to replace mine a couple of years back with, yes another Hitachi Drive. They really are great ...

I'm definitely going to try this out when it comes out! I don't know about making it my default OS, but maybe just for something to fool around with in a virtual machine.

I enjoy using both Macs and PCs. I think they both have their good and bad points. I have a Dell though.

Oh I know this one SO WELL! It hit me like a bomb when I was 14, I didn't know WTH was going on, and back then you never told anyone how sick you were because of the expense and there was no such thing as health insurance in my family, so I just "...

My heart goes out to you Michael. I have a suggestion for you. Yogurt is good but you only get a small amount of the active ingredient in it with one serving. Go to a drug store and buy Acidophilus. Ask the pharmacist to suggest one. If one doesn'...

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

Now, I know this isn't a "geek" topic, but I thought people should know.

I live with what's called Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS for short). Basically, if you don't know what this is, if I'm under stress, excited for something, eat something that doesn't agree with me, I get sudden bowel movements. Now you may think "Wow, this kid is disgusting!," but truth is, a lot of people have it! Ever hear of spastic stomach? That's the same thing as IBS. Some people have weak stomachs as well that can't… Continue

Hi Michael. I don't have it but I thought I did at one time so, I did a lot of research on it. What I suggested is great. It is good for anyone to help with digestion. However, it is wonderful for your problem. You will need to take about two, three times a day to get the full benefit. Wishing you the best on that. Is certainly is worth a try for at least two weeks.

Don't take my word for it. Research it. People in health food stores will tell you in a minute how great it is. It is a bacteria that grows in milk before it is homogenized. When they do that, it kills all the bacteria...good and bad. This a good bacteria that your body needs.
