Hmmmm... Well, I'll have to work on that... Hopefully I won't have any other problems than that... Chances are that I will have more problems, though... I'm updating to Ubuntu 9.04 now so I'll see how that works out!
Unless you know anything about Wine and Call of Duty, I think I'm good for now... Just trying to install that game. If you Google it, everyone has the same problem... When you have to put the second disc in for installation, it freezes up... Hmmmmm...... I'll definitely be working on that tonight!
Never mind! I just solved the puzzle! Well, I don't know if I can take credit... After trying all of that fancy coding stuff, I checked updates for the umpteenth time and, lo and behold, another update for my Broadcom card was there and, guess what, it worked!
I had already installed about 3 things for Broadcom from the updates list and this one finally did the trick! I believe it had something to do with fwcutter... Oh well, who cares?! It's working!
Hey, sorry I've taken so long to reply... My wireless card still isn't working... Went through all of the steps multiple times and I thought it had installed, it had gone through and installed, but I guess I didn't install the right thing or something... Hmmmm.... I'll have to mess with it this weekend, unless you know something else! :-)
Because I take pride in the fact that other people call me a geek

My piano. I love playing, and I'm not great at it. I just love doing what I do.
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
I was challenged, in high school, by the school administrator to break into the wireless network. He promised me unlimited access to the network if I did so, but I had to do it in a week. I did it in two days. It was one of the better moments of my life.
Blue Like Jazz, Velvet Elvis, SexGod, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Heroes, Lord of the Rings, Bones, Assasin's Creed, Steve Wozniak, The Lake House, White Christmas, Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service, Zooey Deschanel, Felicia Day, Veronica Belmont
I wouldn't call it my geekiest tool, but I always have my BlackBerry Curve on me. That once loved piece of tech that frstrates me more and more each day. As far as the geekiest? My tricked out iPod Touch. I know it's typical, but my jailbroken wonde…
Well she certainly has geek credibility after being in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (even though the movie killed the books) and Tin Man and of course that odd movie The Happening.
