This isn't an answer to your question... but why are you using older versions? 6 I can understand if you're a web developer, but 5.5? 6 is even pushing it these days, it's like the web designer world subconsciously decided to give up supporting IE...
I think you're confusing Bill Gates (Microsoft) with Steve Jobs (Apple).
Not everybody will have a keyboard with the Wndows key on it. It gets more confusing when you combine the other things the Windows key is a modifier for like Windows + R for the run dialogue and so on.
Or press CMD + Q for QUIT. Macs make the distinction between Close and Quit, and yes there IS a difference.
