Profile Information

What kind of geek are you?
Computer Geek, Music Composer Geek, Video Game Music Geek, Video Game Geek, Wolf Geek
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
Because I am referred to as one by many, which I don't mind, and promptly tell them that I am proud of being such.
How did you find out about our Geek community?
YouTube Chris' ustreamer feeds.
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
Tryin' to get a new computer, I'm workin' on it, coming soon! The geekiest thing I have right now is I'd have to say wolf pictures, statues, and a wolf blanket, everything all over my walls in my room at home and the knowledge I have of wolves.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'm already grown up - but if you're asking what I want in the long run, I'd like to become a 3-D artist and eventually a video game designer
What makes you laugh?
Water closet. XD
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
My spirit, for without it I'd be an empty shell or a zombie, in which case I'd be grabbing the nearest chainsaw...
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Messed up the PIT on an intel motherboard by setting the clock speed wrong for time. Watch time fly! Whee!!! Also probably a bad one for music was remix Nimbus Land from SMRPG........guh....it didn't need it...really. I have rebuilt several computers, all of which are dead and gone, and I've set up wireless networks, but the geekiest thing I have ever done was re-wire a telephone box and routed a dedicated DSL line through the basement at our old house instead of calling the phone guy.
What do you do to entertain yourself?
Eat, dream, and type...a lot.
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
As for Music, I love the Zelda series of music and any remixes thereof.
Movies - I like Action/Adventure and Fantasy/Science fiction as well as a little Romance if I'm feeling sappy.
Books? Harry Potter and Inheritence, strategy guides for video games (lol).
Shows - CSI Miami, Forensic Files, anything on the DIscovery Channel like Mythbusters or *sigh* Dog the Bounty Hunter (some of you just navigated away from my page xD) I know he's off the air but c'mon.
Games - Gotta be Kingdom Hearts and I am so glad they are remaking KH-CoM because I am visually impared and I despise the DS/GBA.
Artists - I don't rightly know, but I've seen some amazing 3-D work out there. All I can do is admrie for the moment. =P
Hobbies - Video games, computers, collecting good VGM, smoking cigarettes.
Brand of cigarette - Basic menthol shorts. Can't go wrong with a good menthol
Brand of rollup - Gambler full flavor.
Food - Chocolate!!! :E~~~~

Nope, no more..

The Siberian Husky -- A guideline for those who want one.

Hello, Loopy here to tell you about a few guidelines you should consider before you purchase a dog close to wolves such as a Siberian Husky. Though these dogs are domesticated, they share close bonds with their ancestors and the following conditions should be met b triefore you choose to make a purchase.

#1: A Husky is a lot of work. If you work more than a part time job or are not home for at least a good part of your day to dedicate to them, this condition cannot be met. Huskies are very atte… Continue

Google Mail - What I like and what I don't like

Some of you (if you don't have your own domain and SMTP, POP3 servers) - like us freebie fanatics like me, probably have Google Mail, or gmail as they like to call it. There are some things I like about the web access and what I don't like. In this little blog I will be posting some unusual and rather interesting things about Google Mail that make (and break) the program.

First I'd like to start off with the pros, since I like to start with positives. The first thing I really like about gmail i… Continue

Credit sucks part II

Well, I've done it. If secured was the only way to do it, I've signed up for a credit card that requires a security deposit (at the dismay of my mother, who likes $$$ for christmas presents) (Sorry mom!), but I do have a few questions. The terms of service for the card were very upfront. I acheived my goal through a particular bank based out of Delaware called Applied Bank which offers a solution for those of us lacking in credit or with bad credit, and b… Continue

Credit sucks, go pre-paid?

So many programs I have seen out there for getting a PC if you have bad credit - or no credit. In today's US of A for those of you that live here, getting a credit card is a nightmare and keeping a credit card under control is the most dangerous and costly gamble anyone will make. If you haven't done the research, interest rates are going up as well as other costs required to even keep the darn thing, and coming from someone who has never owned a credit card, it is scary and overwhelming.

I jus… Continue

The quest for liquid cooling

Well, I have decided to embark on the long expensive road of liquid cooling for a PC. I'm thinking of a Koolance EXOS-2.5 cooling system which is an external unit that fits on top of the case, and an all-acrylic case with a decent power supply and some components that run hot, though I am not quite sure what I should put in it at this point. I'll blog ya later when I've done some research on this, but Intel's new motherboards look promising, though I'm not sure the new ones support SLI??? I know… Continue
