I actually don't own a mac, but use one at work (i use linux at home), but if I recall correctly, there were only a few things that took longer than a week to figure out. I had the advantage of having everything set up for me by our it department ...
An old one, but still learning! I run linux at home and work on a mac.
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I build my own computers and install my own OS choices and then maintain 'em... 'nuf said?
How did you find out about our Geek community?
I've been getting your email newsletters for so long now I don't recall how I started.
What are your "geeky equipment" specs?
Am running two AMD dual core processor boxes at the moment, both running Mandriva Linux. My personal one (in the basement) is the faster, a 6000+ with 900 gigs of hard drive space. Sufficient but nothing special. I also have enough pieces setting around to assemble another 4-5 boxes if I can find the time...
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When will that be?
What makes you laugh?
Almost anything can get me going, if it is silly enough!
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
???? Everything!!! At my age, just waking up in the morning is a blessing, doubly so if nothing hurts!
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Other than build my own boxes and try to learn sufficient
command line stuff to maintain linux? And study every issue of 2600 I can find? Isn't that enough?
What do you do to entertain yourself?
Read, listen to jazz, surf the web and fill out questionnaires like this one...
Jazz music, some sports like golf and fishing, History channel and PBS on tv. And am addicted to Shisen-Sho Mahjongg. Also try to spend a little time with my wife when our work schedules permit.

Hey =]
Just wondering what's up with you since I stopped coming onto Geeks.
I've been really busy as usual.
So what's going on? ^.^
Any plans for summer?
