I love programming in Visual Basic, language is simple yet powerful. I'm in the process of learning Java. Where I find it is not as easy to learn as programming with Visual Basic it is a much more powerful form of Object Oriented Programming.

Last.fm Free Downloads, are you using them?

We all like the free things in life, right? Well, I enjoy listening to Indie music and I knew that Last.fm did have a very large selection of free music that you could download from many genres and not just Indie. Up to today I've never really used it as I thought that the quality of the music wouldn't be as good as it would be from iTunes or other music downloading services.

I downloaded a few songs from the free section and I was supriesed, the music sounded good, the audio quality was pretty… Continue

iPhone apps to Windows Mobile

I got the MSDN newsletter on the 17th August and saw a topic called "Ready to port your iPhone app to Windows Mobile?". I'm curious to see how many developers will actually be doing this because as far as I know, developing for the iPhone seems a much better idea since you can get your app easily out there using the App Store. I'd like to see how many iPhone developers will be porting their app to Windows Mobile devices. What do you guys think of this?… Continue

Invoicex

If there's one program that I'd reccomend for invoicing it would be Invoicex, it's free and has a very clean interface that also comes with many themes. It works on Vista too. I use the Italian version but I believe that there is an English version too. Try it out and let me know what you think. Just Google "Invoicex", it was made by TNX

OptimumTech Radio

Hi guys, I've just started up my own live radio show at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/optimumtech. I really need your comments on it, as it is not 24/7, as I do not have the time, you'll need to check the schedule on the page and all times are GMT (The current time in London ;)) All comments are welcome.

Thanks guys,
Jamie Luca

VNC Free

I was on Youtube and saw a video that Chris had made which involved VNC. I headed straight to the website and downloaded the free version, after a few mins installing and configuring it was all done. I've never seen an easier way to connect computers on a network. I can now view my Ustream broadcast console running on my netbook on my desktop which is awsome. It is also useful for helping other users around the house, they can IM or email me with their issue and, from the comfort of my own room,… Continue
