I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

What kind of geek are you?
Still an amatuer
Why do you consider yourself a geek?
I have always wanted to know how things work, love gadgets, I find computer stats more interesting than any kind of sports stats and would rather be messing with a PC or researching stuff on the internet than watching a game. I think that qualifies me as some kind of geek.
How did you find out about our Geek community?
I found Lockergnome through a search engine some time back and signed up to receive emails, I recently followed a link that lead me here.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Growing up is overated so I'm kinda putting that one off.
What makes you laugh?
Funny stuff ;)
What is the thing in life you treasure most?
#1 - My Wife, #2 - My PC. Though I am sure she thinks it's the other way around sometimes.
What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?
Not sure what the geekiest thing ever was but lying on the floor taking photos of the inside of my PC has to be up there somewhere.
Favorite music, movies, books, shows, artists, games, people, events, hobbies, etc.?
My taste in music is varied to say the least but my favourite genre is rock, ranging from old classic stuff to Disturbed, Linkin Park, Metallica and Nightwish etc. I can be caught listening to Blackmore's Night, Enigma or Clannad when I just want to chill.

My movies mostly tend to be Action, Sci-fi, Fantasy and anything comic book related. I should mention that I enjoy a good bit of Anime/Manga as well.

As for gaming, I enjoy RPG and Racing mainly although I have just finished Wolverine on the 360 (Got all but one of the achievements so far but still have to beat weapon 11 on hard setting to get the last one).

I don't get to watch too much TV but when I do it usually has something to do with Sci-fi, Fantasy or documentaries on Wildlife/Nature......almost forgot to mention comedy, I love comedy, whether it be stand-up, slapstick or whatever. I don't watch reality TV or Soaps. Favourite shows at the moment would be Fringe, Supernatural and Chuck.
This is me trying not to get blown away on a trip to Scotland, near Loch Ness

Surfing with a trackball

I just bought a logitech marble trackball, it's something I've been meaning to try out for sometime and now I finally got one.
Over the years I have mainly used mice, sometimes the built-in touchpad on laptops and occasionally a tablet and pen. I've even tried voice commands with some funny results but I'd never used a trackball.
It does take a little getting used to but after using it over this weekend i must admit that it is growing on me.

I wanted to try a trackball mainly for photo editing… Continue

T'was indeed meant as a compliment. Most doctors I'm familiar with have a self assured, quiet intelligent, and successful heir about them.

Devil May Cry 4 is a cool game, it was developed by Capcom which, as it happens , made the Resident Evil games, which, especially 4 & 5 are just sublime. Any games that don't follow through on the same intuitive control use I get frustrated with. Not sure if you ever played RE4 or 5. If you have, then you know what I mean.
