Thanks for your help. I took the drive out and it worked in my desktop.
I then put the drive back in the casing and its works as it should, It works perfectly fine now... Don't know why tho....
*rubs ear* ugh that background humm was annoying
anyways i'd take the drive out of the mybook chasis.......and just plug it into a desktop
if theres any weird noises you prolly just have a dead drive.....it happens
