this is the correct and fast way to install linux for noob...
cant you just erase the partition? is not your primary disk right? restore the bootloader if needing, or just erase it, and reinstall it, through wubi, this time..
this can help to access to the linux partition, if you even have create that :)

Take note that the 2.33GB is where Ubuntu is installed but was meant to go in the UBUNTU (F:) Drive which has more than enough space.
can you both in that partition? the bootloader is still the one from windows or its "grub"?
also what fylesystem you have used on linux partition? you should easily use wubi instead.
Ive recently dual booted Ubuntu with Vista but I am now having many problems,
First apparently the Place Where the OS is installed seems to be full but I had the Partition set at 10 GB.
This then means that I cant install many updates or anything....
