What kind of geek are you?

language geek, but wanting to become a theoretical physics, science fiction and cryptography geek^^

Why do you consider yourself a geek?

I'm very passionate about my interests, not really interested in the usual stuff (such as clothes, celebrities etc.)

What makes you laugh?

British Humour (Monty Python, Mr. Bean, Doctor Who, Mind Your Language), some hilarious old science fiction movies, Saxon humour (it' hard to describe, very self-ironic)

What is the thing in life you treasure most?

health, happiness

What's the geekiest thing you've ever done?

I play in a band called 42 (named by me), but that's probably not the geekiest thing, maybe it's rather memorizing 150 digits of 'e' and 50 of 'Pi' for fun.

What do you do to entertain yourself?

read, listen to/ make music, internet, TV, movies

Music: The Beatles/ Paul McCartney, Arctic Monkeys, Jamie Cullum, Jet, Phil Collins/ Genesis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Fratellis, Beatsteaks, The Offspring, Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Sunrise Avenue, Beethoven (and some other classical music), ACDC, Bob Dylan, Billy Talent, The Hives, Nirvana, Simon& Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, My Chemical Romance, Joy Division, Scissor Sisters, Mando Diao, soundtracks...

Movies/TV: DOCTOR WHO, Mr. Bean's Holiday, Matrix, Rain Man, Amélie, Monty Python (Life of Brian, A Fish Called Wanda), Big Fish, The Truman Show, the latest Star Trek movie, Star Wars, Die Feuerzangenbowle, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, 24 Hour Party People, Matilda, The Big Bang Theory, all kinds of documentaries...

Books: I read a lot, so I can't possibly count all my favourites, but I especially like the authors Jostein Gaarder, Nick Horny, Dan Brown and J.K. Rowling.

Hobbies: drums, piano, reading, learning (about) languages, unicycling

Events: Every week I participate in the Language Evening in my home town, where the language geeks meet. =)
