I totaly agree, but one thing is bugging me: if SGA didn't run out of money, why didn't they atleast give the show a good ending. As it was there were way to many loose ends and the characters just abandoned the whole pegasus galaxy for the sake o...

I love how O'Neal always had a Star Trek or Star Wars joke to poke fun at the fact that there are similar themes found in Sci-Fi. It is the shows way of acknowledging this fact.

I see your point, but then again, Sci-Fi stories tend to recycle a lot. For example, Star Trek Voyager is essentially a retelling of the story Lost in Space. Which is now even more so with the new Stargate Universe. I don't mind recurring plot the...

Offworlders... I like the sound of that... or how about SciFinatics??? No No No sounds a little too L.Ron Hubbard'ish. Offworlders works. So would non offworlders be dirt-dwellers?

The resons behind cancelling SG-1 and Atlantis is the same as why ST:TNG, SG:DS9 and SG:Voyager were all cancelled... writers ran out of ideas. Actually, I tend more towards serises with planned 'shelflife' IE ST:Enterprise ( great way to tie up l...

We are of same mind, Robert. I think I posted a similar, if not more verbose ( word of the day gang) opinion. . . Nitpicking...Both bases are accessed via wormhole.. One huge, one not so much ;). Now that the basic framework is set, I intend to j...

I hope it goes on. I hope that after every break between series, there will always be that next new series to gate my imagination around the universe.

I seem to be late again to another topic, but one worth posting in now that we have information that this game may never be released. I have been growing impatient, so I went digging and found that the developers were out of money and needed more ...

Thanksgiving Accomplished

And it's over. Well, I guess, one down one to go. Do you know a woman who bitches constantly about her husband? The sort of woman according to whom said husband can do nothing right? That's what Shmuckerella is like. She just never stops bitching about my brother Shmuckles. So I brought an apple pie to Thanksgiving, which was horrible. Well, check that. The crust was perfect. I used a recipe from Ina Garten (The Barefoot Contessa), whose recipes I usually totally dig, but she called for all gran… Continue

Creepy Children's Show...

I was watching this show, Little Bear, with my son today and an episode came on that's totally weird. Or, at least, I find it totally weird. I've actually seen it before, from watching Little Bear with my friend's kid. Oddly, I happened to be talking about Little Bear with that friend and she mentioned exactly this episode less than an hour before it came on.

A little background, if you aren't familiar with Little Bear, it's a cartoon based on a series of books from the late fifties and early s… Continue

I Know Some People Who Need Time-Outs

I don't like haters. I'm a hater hater. I'm tired. My days are spent building block towers and reading board books, pointing out the parts of the face, allowing a certain someone to poke me in the nose in the name of learning. It's snowing outside. I love the snow.

I'm trying really hard to relax, you know?

So, in my email I see that someone has started a discussion in the Geeks for Obama group. I belong to that group because I'm an Obama supporter. I do not belong to the Geeks for McCain grou… Continue

It's the Most Asinine Time of the Year...

Thanksgiving, it's a time for family dysfunction, over-eating, and football. I was tentatively looking forward to Thanksgiving this year because I haven't seen most of my family members for a couple months. My husband and I recently moved and we're much farther away from my family than we were before. I can't ever really decide whether I miss them or not. Usually I'll get mopey about missing them and then one of them does something that makes me change my mind.

I was sort of excited about Thank… Continue

The F-Word Addict

I like to swear. I have been told at various times in my life that I swear like a sailor, or more than an entire football team combined. These things may be true. I do, in fact, swear a lot. While I was in college, I had an adorable friend who was part of the "Christian crew". She was a bible study freak, timid and mild, and hardly ever uttered any word more vile than "crap". Actually, when most people swore she found it offensive, but not me. She always said that I made swearing sort of an art… Continue
