It seems like more and more podcasters are taking advantage of streaming video services like USTREAM. These services not only allow users to see their favorite podcasters, but also gives them an opportunity to interact with the show and other users through the built in chat. It makes for a more engaging experience for the audience. There's something that can be said for actually seeing the emotions coming from the person you are hearing.
