Why Are Futures Depicted in a Dystopian Manner?

The future is bleak.

It seems like every movie or book that is set in a fairly distant future is an apocalyptic thriller about trying to solve the problem. To be honest, I have not watched many movies about futures, but I will share my experience and hopefully support my claim.

How Do You See the Internet +5 Years From Now?

First of all, this is my first blog post ever, so I hope I am doing this right :)

Now, Every day I ask myself, "How will the internet look like in the future? How can we improve it the way it is now?" Well, aside from making it safer or faster, what else would be out there? For example, say we were in the year 2002. I don't think many of us knew what a 'Social Networking Site' was like MySpace or Geeks! Two years later, we get MySpace and everybody freaks out and becomes popular overnight.

Well as far as the family bit everyone including my parents has a minimum of a bachelors degree. And yet I still feel like the one with the most common sense and overall know how, I feel like the rest of my family has the someone else knows how or can do it for me if I pay them money. Or for cars in my extended family they definitely don't think maintenance is a good idea. They are more a long the lines if if isn't about to fall apart or if it doesn't break don't fix it. Which honestly drives me crazy and up a wall. But like I said in my blog. Things like this I am amazed honestly at the lack of common sense. In the world it seems so apparent to me and yet for some reason so hidden from the world to everyone else.
